I’m sorry this happened to you bro. I’ll pray for you. Let me know if you need anything. My ex broke up with me last year so if you need, my dms are open
NEVER Date Non-Catholics (Main Reason)
Is it a smart idea to date non-Catholic women? It's the age old question. Keep reading for my honest opinion (and I want you guys to comment your opinion too). I think it's ultimately a horrible idea. They won't have your same values - so they'll most likely nudge you to do things against your morals (drugs, premarital sex, etc.). In my personal experience - it's pretty hard to connect with non-Catholic women. It's almost like their life has no meaning and they live 100% surface level. No sense of the eternal or getting souls to heaven. I ultimately asked myself the question - why settle for a non-religious girl when there are plenty of religious women you can date instead? Some people will say "practice" but it's not actually good practice. You want to marry a Catholic woman. Not an atheist woman. "Practicing" on atheist women when you really want a Catholic woman is like practicing baseball by shooting free throws! ... Comment below - what's your experience talking to or eventually dating non-Catholic women.

i agree with your points here. My ex converted into the Church with me but we split whenever she had doubts and decided to part ways with Catholicism. This happened a couple months after our baptism. Very sad, but we mutually agreed that we need to date other people who are compatible with our beliefs

SUNDAY GOAL SETTING 🎯

For this week 3/11 - 3/17: Health: follow my push/pull/legs calisthenics routine without skipping days Wealth: at least 7 Upwork proposals/cold outreaches as I continue work for my current client Relationships: reconnect/hang out with my sister and her family whenever I go to fix my car with my brother-in-law this weekend Self: catch up on my daily Lenten prayer reflections
Mandatory prayer
Is it a sin to not pray? I don't pray everyday and I've tried looking for official teaching on the minimum amount of prayer but haven't found any. Could someone help me out here?

I went through the catechism in a year podcast with Fr Mike Schmitz and I haven’t ever come across any guidelines on minimum prayer. I think God will meet you wherever you are. Of course, you should try to pray as much as you can because St Paul tells us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It’s probably a sin to forget to pray, but I think it’s only a mortal sin if you go so far to choose not to pray out of spite. Remember that spiritual sloth is a deadly vice that can lead to more grave sins
Meditation on Defeating Lust
With the recent post on lust, a phrase came to mind during prayer this morning: "Lust/porn is a false intimacy. I am worthy of true intimacy. Lord, with your help, I reject this false intimacy." I'm gonna start praying this every morning. Hope this helps! Prayers brothers!
