HUGE SURPRISE
We don’t really recommend a diet. We recommend a dietary approach to life. In this weeks video, we explain why we get fat, and how to turn on or activate the fat switch in all of our bodies We have a huge surprise for you! We just finished the first addition of the “Carb Fasting Cookbook” and will make it available to you early this week! We think you are going to love it!!

I love this approach! It's healthy long term.
EAT
There is an enormous difference between whole food complex carbs & simple carbs. We need the whole food carbs! And this is what should make up 90% of our intake. Having said all that the biggest downfall for me is Starbucks where I go nearly every day. It's not just the sugary chai but also the sweet breads. Scheduling in 3 days to absolutely not go there for this next week.

I am the same with coffee drinks! I love my frozen sweet treats.
Time to Start Week 2
Trying to limit carbs today to 20 g or less. The plan is to do this Mondays and Wednesdays and see how it goes! I may add in Thursday, but will determine that later. I want this to be sustainable and long term, so Friday is out as I am Catholic and do not eat meat on certain Fridays in the year. Plus, sometimes my friends want to get together for drinks on weekend nights. So far I have had my coffee with just milk and a protein shake. I will probably do another protein shake and bacon for lunch and a leafy green salad for dinner with cheese and bacon. The balsamic vinaigrette will be my carb heavy addition for the day. This is so awesome for a girl who could eat pizza every day!

Up and ADAM!
Good morning! Just a simple clarification for most people. When we talk about Adam, specifically Activate, this would happen within the first few minutes of waking up. Do something to wake up! This could be a two minute stretch, 10 air squats, a few push-ups, a quick walk outside to get some sunlight. Then replenish all the water you lost the night before, and make sure you do this before coffee. Many people then sit down and journal for a few minutes or just go over “what’s right” in their life for a few seconds. Appreciate. Meditation seems to be the hardest one for most people to integrate, so we will talk more about this on our call Friday. It doesn’t have to be complicated! The biggest benefit?? You will start happening to the day instead of letting the day happen to you. You are intentional. Very quickly, this intentionality will spill over into the rest of your day.

Activate, for me, looks like letting my dogs out and stretching a little
Calm app
I signed up for the Calm app. I had used it before for meditation and help with sleeping. Does any one else use a mediation app?
