Working on multiple pricing phases
Hi all, I'm Sarah and I lead a product team at the HR tech company Small Improvements. We recently launched new redesigned pricing with a lower-priced entry tier. I did much of my learning from Ulrik's content and book. Would be interested to learn more about others working on tiered packages, especially targeting larger accounts with per-feature pricing and targeted discounting, which is the next phase of our progress.

@Florian Compe thank you this makes sense! How did you scope your add-on features?
What community activities/content would you like?
Hi guys What community activities and content would you like (or even participate in)? Stuff I can do: 1) Open Q&A with me (e.g. monthly) 2) Teardowns: send me your pricing case and I'll record as I open it up and provide live feedback. 3) Webinars on topics (like the ones scheduled) 4) ? ... let me know Stuff community members can do (but I can help arrange): 1) Cases: go on a podcast with me and show off your pricing project: objectives, process, new model, outcome, learnings etc. 2) Pools: e.g. 'How often do you change pricing?' 3) Guest speakers: we invite people to come and give an AMA session, present their work, their new book etc. (or that guest speaker is YOU!) 4) Collaborative Document Creation: someone posts a link to a google doc with a 1st draft of a document like: an email to tell customers prices go up / end of life of a product / job posting for a pricing manager / SOP for sales to give discounts / ?? - community can then edit, comment and create a 'final' version (or 7 different versions), which gets put in a common library for all. 5) Experience marketplace: e.g. "I need some coaching on how to get Sales to stop selling bespoke solutions. I can offer tested framework for how to prioritise feature development in collab between Sales and Product" -> people find each other and take it to a private conversation. 6) ??? let me know your ideas Use this thread to discuss, suggest and just to let me know what you'd actually invest time and attention in consuming, participating in etc..

Fencing
Hi, Ulrik + fellow team members, Thanks, Ulrik for giving us this opportunity. We run an HR- and recruitment SaaS serving 3 different segments: - Retail - SME - Prof. recruitment agencies At this moment we have a common pricing table and the price for a module is derived from the number of recruitments made pr. year. We have different modules like ATS, onboarding, contract signing etc. I am thinking to change the pricing for SME's to be based on company size rather than user based prising or usage. This is because our partners (larger HCM provider) use this pricing and they sometimes cross sell our ATS. So to my question: I am thinking to change into three "fences" so that each segment have their own unique pricing. Prof. recruiters will still be priced on usage as this is what drives their revenue. SME's will be priced on company size and the package will be much simpler with less add ons. Retail will get one package based od size but the different packages rel. to job to be done. Am I going in the right direction? Ulrik, you mentioned that when you are a small SaaS dont bother to much with pricing structures but we still want to build it right from the beginning :)

Hey Jesper, working in space close to this, performance management that includes onboarding features. Do these onboarded users stay in the tool directly or is your service primarily an intermediary between hiring and an HRIS?
