Bruce Lee’s “Don’t Pray for an Easy Life” Mindset
Bruce Lee once said, “Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.” That really stuck with me because, let’s face it, we all want things to be easy. But Bruce was reminding us that real growth comes from facing challenges, not avoiding them. Life’s always going to have its rough patches—we can’t control that. But instead of hoping everything will smooth out, what if we focused on building the strength to handle whatever comes our way? That’s where we really grow. 💡 How I’m Using This Lately, when things get tough—whether it’s work, personal struggles, or staying on track with my goals—I’ve been trying to change my perspective. Instead of thinking, “Why is this happening?” I ask, “How can this make me stronger?” It’s a small shift, but it makes a big difference. Rather than wishing for things to get easier, I’m focusing on how I can get better at handling them. And honestly, it takes some of the pressure off because you’re not waiting for things to magically improve—you’re taking control of how you respond. So, the next time life gets tough, try asking yourself: “How can this challenge help me grow?” It’s a powerful way to approach the hard stuff.

UFC 307 - Anyone.
I only watched the last event - my boy Alex Pereira against Khalil Rountree. Man oh man. I mean, for those who were betting it was obvious to go for Alex and to choose a knockout. The thing is in the middle of the third round I saw Khalil getting tired and told everyone to bet knockout in the forth. They looked at me like I'm crazy but I told them I'm the Alex Pereira's whisperer 🤣 I've studied this man. The only thing that was weird to see that Alex kept slipping when he kicked. I didn't like that. Anyway, what y'all think?

@Carlson Yan there is no question about that. To go in the ring, publicly, and having to go all out is no joke. To be in control - the amount of control you have to have. A guy like Alex watching him - my friends were like Khalil going to get him and I said, no, he is hunting. He is waiting. And bam, it paid off.
Hack Away - The Wisdom of Bruce
Bruce Lee’s Secret to Mastery: Less Is More, Baby! Bruce Lee once said, “It’s not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.” And when I first heard that, I was like, “Okay Bruce, dropping some wisdom again.” But seriously, this is one of those quotes that hit home for me. We’re always told we need to do more, add more, hustle harder, right? But Bruce is like, Nah, it’s about doing less—but doing it better. It’s about stripping away the junk that’s holding you back. Instead of adding more to your to-do list or piling on more goals, what if you focused on cutting out the stuff that’s not helping you? This totally applies to everyday life. Look, I’ve been on this journey with my health, trying to clean up my diet and all that good stuff. At first, I was all about, “What should I be eating?” but then I realized the real game-changer wasn’t just adding greens and protein. It was cutting out the junk—bye-bye sugar and processed foods. That’s where the magic happened. Once I started hacking away at the unhealthy stuff, everything got clearer, and progress came faster. 💡 How I’m Using This in Real Life Lately, I’ve been asking myself, “What’s the one thing I actually need to focus on today that’ll move me forward?” And then, I look at everything else on my list and go, “Do I really need this? Or is this just fluff?” I’ve started hacking away at those little distractions and things that just suck up my energy. It’s not just about food or fitness either. This applies to work, goals, life in general. When you stop trying to juggle 10 things and start mastering the 2 or 3 that really matter, you don’t just get more done—you get the right stuff done. So next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a page out of Bruce’s book and ask yourself, “What can I cut out right now?” Then, go all ninja on those distractions.

Be Water
The One Bruce Lee Lesson That’s Been a Game-Changer: "Be Like Water" Alright, so Bruce Lee hit us with this simple but deep line: “Be water, my friend.” The first time I heard it, I was like, "Cool, water is refreshing and all," but then I started thinking about it more, and man... there's some serious wisdom packed in there. Water doesn’t fight anything—it just goes with the flow. Pour it in a cup, it’s a cup. Pour it in a bottle, it’s a bottle. Basically, water is the ultimate adapter. And Bruce is telling us, “Yo, in life, you’ve got to be the same way.” Life's unpredictable, right? It’s gonna throw stuff at you that you didn’t see coming. You can’t control everything (if only!), but you can control how you react. Instead of pushing back, stressing out, or trying to force things to go your way, what if you just… flowed? Like water, baby. You adapt, you adjust, and you keep moving forward. 💡 How I’m Using This in My Day-to-Day Whether it’s work, relationships, or even hitting the gym, things don’t always go to plan. But instead of getting stuck in frustration, I’m trying to ask myself, “How can I be more like water in this situation?” How can I adapt and keep moving forward instead of stressing out or resisting change? It’s not always easy, but when you adopt that mindset, life gets a little less stressful and a lot more manageable. Plus, it’s Bruce Lee advice. You can’t really argue with that.
