Woooah! Moved from my phone and on to my computer now. Didn't even know skool was a website haha. This will help a lot. Wanted to make these post more often and it's kind of late where I'm at but got to start somewhere. Almost done with the Mind Power course and it's giving me a great starting foundation. I've been practicing Tai-Chi for a little while and one of the lessons really gave me insight on how to develop better form. It was to sink down the energy. How I understood was to flow with the force of gravity. If we're too tense and force our energy to bundled up then it would be force vs. force, and that would lead to the forces cancelling each other out. Instead, I sink into my body and spirit body to bring more power to self. Before knowing this, my Tai-Chi was always really tense because I wanted my form to be perfect. Seeing other people be more relaxed and calm I wanted to get there but didn't know how. Now I know to sink my energy down towards the Earth and I can count on it to support me.

Started the Journey!
A’ho young warriors ! I started the training this past weekend. Took me a lil while to understand how to go thru the curriculum and make progress. I’ve just been goin thru the first part of understanding the teaching to hold move through our body’s. “Use no force, and focus everything forward.” To do that in my day to day has helped a lot. It’s meditation for sure! I heard that quote Sifu John I think in like April. Need to remember to keep that wisdom close to me. The break down for the force vs power has helped me see a lot too. What am I forcing? What gives me power? When going thru those questions it helps me understand what is benefiting me the most. I’m going on to 5 day fast staring today now. No food no water. It’s a spiritual practice that I dedicated myself to once a season. Once I’m done I’ll probably still to king-fu and tai chi for a while rather than weights to slowly build my body back up so definitely coming back to this ! Y’all stay strong. And be kind! A’ho!

Introducing
Yoo Community! Grateful to be here! Coming from the states, California specifically. I’ve excited to have a community where I can learn with others and improve. Was in karate from 7-14 and then dropped it for other sports. 27 now. Been practicing and learning through the internet for a while and it’s cool to have this platform now. Let’s go get em today. Be present and have Labor of love and discipline. A’ho!

Studies martial arts when I was child til I was 14, specifically in Karate. Didn’t like the discipline aspect but now I know discipline is freedom.
