5 contributions to Selling Online / Prime Mover
I watched the 1hr podcast on Ali Abdaal's Youtube Method. Here are my top 5 take-aways
I had never heard of Ali before this, chances are you haven't either, so let's dive in. Lesson 1: Quality Audience Over Quantity Reaching millions may seem ideal, but not if you're not reaching the right audience. Early on, he focused on broad, clickbait topics to maximize views, but he realized this wasn't attracting his target audience of business owners and serious learners. Switching focus to content that spoke directly to this audience resulted in fewer views but better engagement and interaction. You shouldn't get distracted by large numbers. Ensuring your content reaches those who truly value it is key. Lesson 2: Authenticity in Content Making content with personal appeal builds authenticity. When he started creating videos that reflected his genuine interests—such as productivity and self-improvement—the response was much more positive. He avoids producing videos solely for algorithmic success. When content reflects his true self, it establishes trust and credibility. Lesson 3: Prioritize Process Over Perfection Trying to produce perfect videos paralyzed his progress. Instead, focusing on the content creation process and improving along the way allowed him to be more productive and creative. So many creators get stuck waiting for the perfect idea or script. Instead, he aims to improve a little each time he publishes. Lesson 4: Strategic Content Planning Diversifying content types enabled him to keep his audience engaged and ever-growing. For instance, long-form tutorials combined with short, impactful clips provided a mix to cater to different preferences. He plans a content strategy that includes a variety of formats and depths. It caters to a broader audience while maintaining core followers’ interest. Lesson 5: Embrace the Long Game Nothing meaningful comes overnight. When he started his channel, he didn’t see growth immediately. Over time, consistency and commitment to content excellence paid off. Patience is essential. He keeps producing and refining content, even if growth is slow.

@Robert Macbeth Great post! I've learned a lot about YouTube from Ali and actually made a Twitter thread breaking down some of those insights. https://x.com/Bashir756946/status/1863411525043601632

Hi I need an editor which let´s me resize images, and ... do all the stuff an editor is supposed to do. Tried, like, five editors, and they all suck horse balls. I know Wix, but I am unsure how compatible they are - what about the automization part of it? Yours truly Audun H. Nilsen

@Audun Nilsen are you trying to create graphics? Or specifically edit the graphics on your shopify page?
Advise from "one to many" pros...
I'm currently developing my 'one to many' presentation for a comprehensive 'done for you' marketing system implementation service. However, I'm struggling with the 'external false believe' aspect, as our all-encompassing solution may not benefit from prospects convincing themselves that they can handle everything independently. I would appreciate any insights or suggestions you may have... Thanks 🤗

@Carlos Juez Alex Hormozi talks about presenting DWY services as very simple and easy to implement—"the 3 step framework to do X." But presents DFY as very complicated. This means DFY feel the overwhelm and are more likely to want your help
5 key changes that will make you a Prime Mover in 2025
In the last few years, I've helped businesses double their online engagement using cutting-edge digital marketing strategies. These methods are reshaping how brands connect with their audience. If you're new to the personal brand scene, or you're moving your lead generation focus to organic (like me) and you're ready to leverage these shifts, here are the top 5 I'm adapting to that will set you on a path for success. If you follow me on socials, you'll see me doing these. I'm starting brand new profiles to showcase the process. Shift 1: Authentic Content Is King Many believe traditional ads still hold power. But they're losing impact fast. Gen Z and others value genuine content over polished ads. The shift is toward influencer and user-generated content. My experience showed that switching to more authentic content increased engagement significantly. Avoid flashy sales pitches. Focus on building real connections through honest stories. Your audience will start trusting your brand more. Shift 2: Video Content Without the Frills Creating video content feels daunting. High production standards may seem necessary. I once prioritized fancy visuals, but the reach was limited. Transitioning to straightforward educational videos made a larger impact. Simplify your video approach. Prioritize valuable information and clear delivery over expensive graphics. You'll reach a more engaged audience without burning out. Shift 3: Newsletters on LinkedIn Social media posts fade quickly. Newsletters maintain visibility longer. A case in point—John Hall's LinkedIn newsletter with 330,000 subscribers, despite having only 70,000 followers. Tap into LinkedIn's professional network to expand your reach effortlessly. Shift 4: Custom GPTs for Email Growth Email marketing feels outdated to some. But the problem is not the channel—it's the tactic. I've never really focused on having my own email newsletter, but I've worked with a genius email marketer called Jack White, and I sat down with him to ask him to share what's helping him make thousands for his clients through email marketing. He gave me a bunch of pointers, but the two most vital ones for me, and maybe you, are:

I completely agree for #1 and 2 particularly. I help business owners attract clients through YouTube, so I've seen firsthand how powerful organic content can be. Everyone thinks they need flashy editing to go viral, but as long as you have something valuable to say, people will watch.

This strategy not only works with funnels, but also with YouTube videos. On YouTube we call it "viral replication." This works for video ideas, titles, thumbnails, intros—everything. But of course, each person who does it will have something different to say. I attached some examples for thumbnails.
