HUGE WIN
So happy with this peak week workout. 22 miles! 3 weeks out from a 2:45 marathon.

Recovery
How do you prioritize recovery when you are running 100 mile weeks ? There are a lot of people that get injured when they try to put themselves through this strain, and I know you have done a good job managing the work load. Any tips or tricks are appreciated thank you bro.

Sleep is one of the most important aspects to recovery. You should be aiming to get 7-9 hours of sleep every single night to withstand such high mileage. Also making sure to stretch and foam roll is very important, to make sure injuries don’t start popping up. Keeping up with recovery is so essential and without it, a big prep wont be possible. Your rest days are just as important as your speed days.

Also another tip that I’ve implemented is double session days. If I have 15 miles on the day, I like to break it into a 10 mile and 5 mile session. This helps me feel less sore the next day.
875 miles in 10 weeks
This has been a MASSIVE build. 10 weeks in and 875 miles later. The daily wins have stacked up massively as of late and I couldn’t be happier!

Daily Win is I Woke Up Early
I’ve finally prioritized my sleep schedule, which helps waking up early and doing what I love in the morning and get my workout done before 7am This is Day 2 of getting into an alpha class I love, and it really jumpstarts my day. And it’s energy carried into my mood and helps raise those dopamine levels so that i fell like I can do all things

Starting the day with something hard has ultimately changed my life forever. It leaves me feeling so good the rest of the day. Super proud of you for that man. Keep building that momentum, because it’s truthfully a GAMECHANGER. Keep being great!
Shins
I’m sure this has been discussed a bunch already but I’m going to bring it back up incase anyone else is feeling the same way lately and reads this. I’ve been challenging myself to start small and work my way up and I’ve noticed my shins getting really sore. Does anyone have any tricks or suggestions. Or info on what the cause is my guess is form and not stretching enough, I’ve got good shoes and I’ve been slowly increasing every time I go out but curious what everyone’s thoughts and suggestions are! Or if you also have something that bothers you after a run/walk/jog/ or sprint. I encourage you to comment incase someone else has the same or any tips/ suggestions.❤️

I’d love for you take a video of your form and send it over! I can see if you’re over striding or what’s causing the shin splints!
