Not all good habits are useful.
This time of year I do a lot of reflection. I have been working with Lisa Vanderveen in her program and I am doing my end of year review program I do with another coach. And as I do this process one of the questions that comes up is what are you leaving behind in 2024? The work I have been doing in Lisa's program has been helping me see how habit and actions from past situations and experience are still impacting my current circumstances and reality. Something that has come up in both places with this idea that - Not all good habits are useful or serving me. So I am auditing these habits and determining which ones I need to shift or pivot or drop all together. Do you have any habits that are good habits but are no longer serving you? Consider how you can make some changes and see if that creates more space and opportunity for the things you want more of in life. Maybe it's a "should" or three that needs to be let go of. One that is "good" but holding you back. Mine was surprising - my current devotional time and practices are not longer serving me or feeding my soul the way I need them to. It's time to do some things differently. Would love to hear if any of you have good habits that need auditing and adjusting or to be let go of completely.

Blessings everyone, this is sooo good! For me it's similar to what @MelAnn Morales said. Stop! waiting for someone else to take me to my next level. And understanding that as I surrender and submit to God's instructions and process. He elevates me to that next level at the appointed time! Thanks for this question Mel!💜
Are you set apart?

The Lord Redeems our Resistance
This morning, I dug into the book of Numbers. After listening to The Hebrew Bible on Audible, I turned to The Bible Project for their overview of the book. What stood out to me was this: God’s faithfulness gave the Israelites exactly what they asked for. Their 40 years in the wilderness? Yes, it was a consequence of their distrust—but it was also their choice. They resisted His promises, and God, in His faithfulness, honored their decision. But He didn’t waste those years. God used the wilderness to shape them, preparing them for victory in the Promised Land. He turned their resistance into a season of preparation. Isn’t it amazing how God works through our delays and detours? What about you? Has there been a time when God redeemed a season of waiting or resistance in your life? Let’s reflect together—drop your thoughts below or tag someone who’s experienced God’s redemptive work.

This is good @Lisa Vanderveen! I have definitely watched this play out at a particular time in my life. I love that God turns around for good even what may be evil for us in our own doings. I've learned that it all shapes us for greater and when we resist, we can stunt our growth and development until we decide to return our hearts back to Him.
