Yup…I’m a tree hugger
Literally. I love to hug trees. Energy is everything. When you hug a tree, it releases dopamine and oxytocin in your system. And the tree feels your energy from pressure waves. Quite literally this means that the energy that flows through us, flows through all living things including all plants & trees. So, there you have it when you hug a tree you connect to it through its energetic vibration. The same vibration that runs through you. give it a try. I bet you, and the tree feel better.

I am a biologist and most definitely a tree hugger. Sad to have been away for the last 2 weeks. We lost power on September 26th and did not get it back until late October 3rd. Internet did not return until the 5th and we were still dealing with aspects of storm clean up. We were lucky to have little structural damage. I love to garden and dig into the soil, bare handed. It is so therapeutic and watching things through their life cycle, particularly deciduous trees, is a great reminder that life cycles and beauty comes back around.

@Seth Hickerson Thank you. It is nice when the wind prunes them a bit but I love my trees, I have a red maple, a southern pear and a white oak in my front yard and fig, olive, avocado, loquat, pine and hibiscus in my back yard. So much life....

Meditate Dammit
The single picture sums up what separates the elite athletes from the average ones. Meditation is a part of high-performance mental training for athletes. Learning how to keep your mind quiet, visualize your desired outcomes, conserve mental energy and get your body and brain in flow state requires being intentional and integrating cognitive fitness into your training regimen. Meditation is not some woo woo, fluffy thing that is reserved for only monks and spiritual people. It’s like the squat rack and Burpee’s for your brain. A tool to recondition it so that you can be present, calm and confident and kick ass at whatever life throw your way. If you’re an athlete out there and you don’t know how to meditate. It’s like you don’t know how to jog. You are going to get left way behind. meditate dammit. If you don’t know how. Just ask and I can train you.

Meditation is not something I have given any serious consideration to in the past. My parents actually took transcendental meditation courses when I was in high school. I am curious to try it out. Looking into resources.

I am always amazed watching our brain in action. This is a neural pathway forming in your mind. This is what we are learning how to control (and protect) in this academy. This process is what the world is trying to influence and monetize. This is literally what a "thought and emotion" look like.

Wow I love science and the power of the human body is amazing. My mind is always whirling with ideas, and problem solving is my status quo as far as brain activity goes. I am always looking at things and wanting to make them better, more efficient, streamlined. I love thinking about how that looks inside my head now that I have seen this!
