Wins and belief 💪🫶👏
So, it's been a minute, but i wanted to share a win, along with some past reflections. I hurt my foot/ankle about a month ago (then caught a bug🤒🤧); BUT- not being able to focus on lower body as much has forced me to work on what I can, and I am proud to share that I met 1 of my goals today....I did 5 consecutive, strict pull-ups! When I first started CrossFit a couple years ago, I could barely hang on the bar. As a prior gymnast (albeit, almost 30 years ago🤯), this was very upsetting to me. It may seem silly to some, but it was a reminder to me how weak I'd become, how much weight I'd gained over the years, and it felt very defeating. I credit this gym family with helping to keep me motivated and helping me remove that negative self-talk that says, "Why bother!?" It took me almost a year to be able to do my first pull-up, and it was around this time where I had a mindset shift. I started to appreciate what my body CAN do (and has done)...not so much on what it cannot. I had this "a-ha moment" where it dawned on me that I am stronger in some ways because I can't imagine strapping a 40-50 lb weight to college-aged me and doing a pull-up back then....and I certainly don't think I could have done 5! So, though I certainly have my moments of self-doubt and lack some motivation at times, I am super grateful for my fit fam for always inspiring me to keep pushing, keep trying, and if I have to take a few steps back and get another one of those lessons in patience and perseverance...that it's, also, a time to reflect that there's always something good that comes out of a not-so-awesome situation, and that we're all stronger than we believe! Keep on, keepin' on, everyone! I/we believe in you!!!!💪🫶👏

Hi, I have not been able to motivate myself to get started. Am I too late. I am fed up of being annoyed at myself.

No call tonight
So sorry for the confusion but no call tonight just next Wednesday as we are out of town for my wifes birthday. Then back to regular Sunday night calls after that.

New breakfast addiction
5 whole eggs 30 grams protein I cup good culture cottage cheese 28 grams protein Little salsa on top So good and almost 60 grams of protein first thing in the morning Adjust portions to your goals and try it.

Tried this (smaller portion). Felt like i was missing some crunch, so added a piece of whole grain toast which did the trick. It was really good! Thanks for the idea!
Food
Really working hard about adding in salads this week. Getting them Greens in Yo! 😆

I find if I make myself a smoothie with power greens (or some other frozen greens e.g. spinach, kale...doesn't matter), it makes it MUCH easier to get in just 1-2 more servings. And I get my berries in, too! 😋 Just a thought...
