Building an audience
Everyone says the best way to build an audience is to either provide a link to an article, curate or write your own and do like 1 a day ad after a while you will start getting likes and eventully comments. Does that still work?

@Dennis Berry we're doing this strategyy combined with good content - my audience is not necessarily posting or even commenting. Would it make sense to follow major influencers in my space and engage with the profiles of people who comment?
Scared to send DMs? You're killing your business.
DMs are the most underused goldmine on LinkedIn yet most people are scared to use them. - “What if I come off as spammy?” - “I don’t know what to say.” - “Cold outreach doesn't work.” I hear this all the time. And I used to feel the same way. Then I learned this: Your goal isn’t to sell... it’s to start a conversation. Here's how I get replies (without being spammy): 1) Personalize every message. Mention something specific from their profile. 2) Start with curiosity: “Saw your recent post—what inspired that?” 3) Offer value first. Share a tip, idea, or resource that helps them. The result? Genuine conversations that lead to business opportunities. But before all of this, you need to get VERY clear on who you're helping and how you help them. This is why your 20-minute strategy call is so important. It's your chance to get a bespoke game plan from someone who has coached 100s of others to achieve LinkedIn success. Book here if you haven't already: https://calendly.com/dennisberry/20-minute-clarity-call Love and good vibes, Dennis

Love this.
Stop trying to talk to everyone on LinkedIn.
A new student recently asked me this: “How do I make LinkedIn work for me when it feels like I’m just shouting into the void?” It’s a great question, and I thought it’s something worth sharing with everyone here. The key is this... Stop trying to talk to everyone on LinkedIn. When I first started on LinkedIn, I was all over the place. ❌ I tried to appeal to every audience. ❌ My posts were a mix of random topics. ❌ My DMs were full of people who weren’t my ideal clients. The result? Confusion.. not conversions. Here's what changed everything: ✅ I got crystal clear on who I help. ✅ I spoke their language (no fluff, just value). ✅ I optimized my profile so they knew I was for them. Now, I don’t just get engagement. I get clients. You don’t need more followers, likes or reposts. You just need the right people following you. What’s your niche or target audience? Share it below, and I’ll give you a tip to help 🤘

I'm working with an executive and life coach. Target audience is CSuite and Director level. Content is good and working on honeing it in even more - starting to get traction with comments and engagements but not from the desired target audience. Most interaction is from competitors checking her out, or marketing people trying to pitch her. Given that the target audience is likely "lurkers" and not actively posting - I'm not sure the right approach. Thoughts?
