Anyone Interested in Starting a Non-profit Together?
Many people with mental conditions in the world are not receiving the support that they need. There are also not enough resources like psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, etc to support them. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a non-profit together on neuroscience for mental health, where we post and share resources that are backed by science on a website or application. This way, the resources are not just cliche reassurances, but actual science-based methods and cognitive behavioral activities that can help. Any other ideas are also welcome. Please let me know if you'd be interested in founding and leading it together! Update: If you are interested, please drop your email below or to my DMs for privacy as it is the form of communication that everyone can access! Update 2: I sent out an email for those of you who were interested. Please give me your email so that I can add you to the chain if you want to be a part of this. Thank you for your cooperation!

Unlocking Opportunities: My Journey Networking on LinkedIn as a High School Student
Hello everyone! I'm Dharaa Suresha, a sophomore at Emma Willard School with a passion for healthcare advocacy and research. Today, I want to share how LinkedIn, despite being in high school, has been an incredible platform for networking and unlocking opportunities in my journey so far. I currently have over 4,401 followers on LinkedIn, which has allowed me to connect with professionals and peers globally. Through LinkedIn, I've been able to showcase my projects, such as my independent research on global health and my published book, "Atlas of Healthcare," which delves into healthcare systems across 100 nations worldwide. Networking on LinkedIn has opened doors I never imagined possible. From connecting with mentors at Harvard Medical School to collaborating on research papers with MIT, each connection has contributed significantly to my growth as a researcher and advocate. One standout experience was connecting with Nadeem Kasmani, a lecturer at Harvard Medical School, who has been a mentor to me since we connected on LinkedIn. His guidance has been invaluable, not only academically but also in navigating life as a young student passionate about healthcare. Moreover, LinkedIn has been instrumental in my career development. It has helped me secure internships, such as my recent experience at SVYM, where I had the privilege to contribute to healthcare initiatives firsthand. These experiences have shaped my understanding of global health and reinforced my commitment to making a positive impact in healthcare. As a high school student, LinkedIn has empowered me to share my journey and insights with a global audience, fostering meaningful connections and collaborations. I look forward to continuing my journey on LinkedIn, connecting with professionals who share my passion for healthcare and contributing to meaningful change in the field. If you're a high school student like me, I encourage you to leverage LinkedIn as a powerful tool for networking and learning. The opportunities are boundless, and with dedication and perseverance, you can unlock doors to a world of possibilities.

Could you walk me through how you got these opportunities and all that? I've never used Linkedin, and I'm afraid I'm not good enough to standout. How did you get in contact? Did you just message them?
how to stay motivated on ecs?
Do you guys have any tips for how to remain motivated on extracurriculars, especially when school gets busy or you have other commitments? I find it hard to prioritize my extracurriculars and even harder to get the motivation to begin work on them, as I don't have too much direction with them.

How is everyone so smart?
hiii everyone, ever since I’ve been in here, I’ve seen that everyone has so much prior experience in various fields, some people have already published research papers and blogs, how do you all get this experience before high school? I’m a rising freshman and all I have is a few awards.
