DISPOSABLE SUPPLIES
Where do you get your disposable supplies like quart cups, 5-quart buckets, roller covers, paint sticks, etc? We started with Sherwin Williams, Lowes, and Home Depot and soon found they were REALLY HIGH PRICED. If we get 5 comments here, I will share our source of low-price quality items.

SALES MATERIALS
Looking to see what print materials everyone uses for marketing and then when in the sales process. We use 4X9 rack cards with a $200 off a two-car garage coupon and several pics, including a garage, basement, carport, patio, and porch, along with some short educational things on why we use polyaspartic over epoxy. We then put these in newspaper tubes and on (never in) mailboxes. Yes, the post office will call you a couple of times a year, but WHO CARES? They are all talk and no action. Been putting out rack cards like this for 14 years. We put out about 15,000 per year. In the sales process, we have a nice printed sales folder with a copy of our insurance, the floor process with pics of each step, and more in-depth info on why Poly is superior to Epoxy. For you epoxy guys, we use Poly as it is easy to sell against epoxy guys in my area. It has a sheet with all the flake colors on it. We only do flake floors because it's easy to install as we do one-day floors. We also have a section about myself and my family, as people are likelier to want to do business with a small family-owned business over a franchise, even if it's locally owned. Lastly, we have a sheet we give them telling them how to best deal with contractors when deciding who to hire for future use with plumbers, electricians, yard companies, etc (meant for them to use after we leave and keep in a drawer for when they needed, and this way our info is on it to remind them to refer us if they used us or to call us and revisit getting a floor if they had not do do.) NOW THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS FAR WHAT DO YOUR GUYS DO?

Slow Months
What are the slow months for coatings and how would you recommend using your marketing dollars so that you're not just wasting money of FB ads that are not getting a lot of leads in the slow season?

Need Help in Operations!
Hey everyone! I’ve been running into a few problems on some recent jobs, and it’s been costing me time and money to fix. Would love to get some advice from the pros here! Here’s what I’m dealing with: - Basecoat Drying up too fast: I’m not quite fast enough to squeegee and roll out the base coat across the whole floor and get the chips down before it starts tacking up. Any tips on speeding up my process or slowing down the drying time? - When I do one half of the garage and then the other, you can see a line where the chips are lighter at the division. How do you handle dividing the floor so that it looks seamless, and there’s no visible start/stop line? - New Crew Learning the Ropes: Got a couple of guys who are new to this, and we need to cover about 1,015 sq ft. Any advice on how to train them up quickly while still getting a high-quality finish? - Keeping the Walls Clean: There’s no vertical surface protection right now, and I’m trying to avoid getting base or topcoat on the wood walls while working. Anyone got some clever ways to protect the walls without too much hassle? - Managing Sections Without Visible Seams: The biggest issue I’m facing is dividing the floor into sections and completing one area without it being noticeable where I started and stopped. Any strategies for squeegeeing, rolling out the base coat, and applying chips so that it all looks uniform? I’ve attached some pics to show what I’m working with. Any tips or tricks from you guys would be super helpful! Thanks a lot!

I was never told the MV barrier allowed unlimited working time. Can you explain how and the steps? I know prep, MV, basecoat, flakes, topcoat. But how is it stopping the basecoat from curing?
