Reprange to holdtime
Hey Guys! Does anyone know how the repranges translate to hold time? If you want to train between 1-5 reps, but its a static hold, how long is that hold to trigger the correct adaptation (in this case relative strength)? Thx 😊🙏

There really isn’t a sure fire number, really depends for each individual, as well as the skill that we are talking about. Let’s look at handstands for example, the static hold would rely much more greatly on balance rather than strength, whereas the HSPU relies much more greatly on pressing strength alongside balance. These would skew the comparison as different muscle groups are involved to perform these 2 different movements.

@Sebastiaan Francois Hmm, I may not have caught your question right as well- But maybe let me share my experience when it comes to training for skill progression. I wouldn’t generally look at it as the “Rep range equivalent to 1RM” when it comes to skills, but rather the hold times. So comparing apple to apple, its much more Training for Front lever 1) 10-20s Tuck FL Hold 2) 10-20s Advanced Tucked FL Hold 3) 10-20s Single leg FL Hold 4) 10-20s Straddle FL Hold 5) 10s FL negatives 6) By this point you should be close to unlocking the FL Training for Front touch - Basically everything above, but- - Instead of 10-20s, maybe 5-10 reps - Instead of Holds, we do pull reps Maybe I have misinterpreted what you mean by “rep range” to unlock the FL but perhaps you meant hold times in terms of seconds? In that case the first portion should work for you as long as you slot in wherever your current level is at and work at towards the following progression!
Calisthenics app
Hey guys, Wondering what apps you use for calisthenics / working out? Also if you have any app ideas drop them in the comments! I use hevy bc u can track ur workouts and it has a social feature (lmk if u wanna connect!) - but its not that tailored for calisthenics and the social feature just publishes ur workouts with a comments section nothing groundbreaking

Tricep gains
Does anybody know of exercises to target the long head of the tricep so that I can get bigger arms?

Overhead extension movements, could be applied both in the gym and calis, just much harder to isolate them solely with calisthenics for sure

Hey man, aesthetics is very subjective and we can only recommend exercises to build certain muscle groups to work towards a specific physique that you are looking at. Would be great if you can provide us a picture of what an ‘aesthetic’ physique would mean to you before we can help you work on getting there!
