New Discovery algorithm update
Now we show the top 5 groups from every category on the homepage in random order. This gives groups from all categories a better chance of being discovered. Plus it's more fun. We used to rank all groups globally, now we rank them per category. We tried a new algorithm, but as many of you pointed out, it wasn't very good. We reverted to the original algorithm. Thank you for your feedback. Our intention is to make things better, and we did, but we had to make things worse for 24h to get there. Sorry about that. More detail in the video. Enjoy!

Developing Shy Members
What do you do to develop shy members? The ones who join your community, but it feels they never engage or put themselves out there. For many people, joining this platform is intimidating. I'm naturally extroverted and bold, so putting myself out there isn't hard. Are there other ways we can help people get out of their shells in our communities? We can: DM them Tag them Ask them specific questions Create daily/weekly/monthly tasks and/or challenges Always looking for new ideas to help our more introverted community members! p.s. if you're an introvert, I'd love to here your thoughts!

@Aaron Ng the idea of a personal walk-through sounds powerful!

@Angela S I experienced that too. One of the very first groups I joined, the owner send me a 2 minute zoom walking me through my about page. At first I thought it was a generic welcome video, but when I heard my name and saw on the screen he was actually looking at my stuff, I was really impressed! I became in INSTANT fan of his community and still a part of it today!

🎯 The Unofficial Skool Playbook for Hiring Community Team Members
If you're building a thriving Skool community and wondering when and how much to invest in team members like a Community Manager or Growth Operator, this post is for you! 🚀 (if this could be added in the classroom or somewhere in Skool to give guidance that would be great!) 💼 A bit about me: With 20 years of recruiting experience, I’ve hired for all types of roles—ranging from individual contributors to company presidents. I’ve seen what it takes to attract and retain top talent in various industries. Add my 14 years of running my own Marketing AI Agency too. As a Community Manager, Growth Operator, and Skool community owner myself, I’m excited to share my insights to help you make smart hiring decisions for your community! 🙌 👩‍💻 Community Manager (CM) A Community Manager helps you engage, nurture, and retain your members. Their role grows with your community! - 💡 Starting Out (100-200 members, $50/mo/member or Free community w/2k MRR): - PAY: $2k/month (paid biweekly) - Hours: 20 hours per week - Bonus: 5-10% commission on Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) - 💼 Role: Managing posts, answering questions, and building engagement - - 📈 Growing Community (300-500 members): - Pay: $3k-5k month (paid biweekly) - Hours: 30-40 hours per week - Bonus: 5-10% commission on MRR - 💼 Role: Strategic engagement plans, event hosting, and driving member satisfaction - - 🏆 Big Community (1,000+ members): - PAY: $8k-10k/month (paid biweekly) - Hours: 40+ hours per week - Bonus: 10-15% commission on MRR - 💼 Role: Full ownership of member experience, advanced metrics tracking, and team management. 🚀 Growth Operator (GO) The Growth Operator focuses on filling your community by driving traffic from the internet to your community's About page. Think marketing and lead gen expert! - Apply the same payment structure as above for CMs, based on your community size and needs. - 💡 Key skills to look for: - Social media marketing - Paid ads - Funnels and lead generation
