Essential Oil Blends
Pure high grade EO's are a huge part of my self-care toolkit and I thought it would be supportive to have a thread to share recipes for any other fellow enthusiasts! CD25 the rainclouds came in strong with a lot of anxiety, brain fog, body exhaustion, obsessive thought spirals and I came across a blend I mixed together that I haven't used for PMDD but it's felt really lovely these last couple days: Wild Orange, Basil, and Vetiver! I'm also really into the emotional components for each oil so here is what it can help with: - Wild Orange is the oil of abundance and is a citrussy mood uplifter that can bring me lightness. - Basil is the oil of Renewal and helps with symptoms of adrenal exhaustion including fatigue, overwhelm, and having a hard time coping with stressors. It also helps with recovering from negative habits/addictions which can spike during this time for me. - Vetiver is the oil of centering and descent and is a big grounding oil that helps root you down and also fosters self-awareness and supports me in my need to escape.

@Najwa Parkins yummmmmmy!!!!! Bergamot is definitely an oil my soul resonates with too! And patchouli is my go to when I need to get IN my body and really feel Iโ€™m here!! You might dig the app โ€œEssential Emotionsโ€! Thatโ€™s what I use to tap into all the deeper aspects ๐Ÿ˜
Hello fellow Queens!
Hi Iโ€™m Ally and I have honestly never known or spoken to anyone with PMDD so to be in a community who understands is priceless! I live in Denver with my husband and pup and have had PMDD for 15 years and itโ€™s become much more manageable but can still cut me off at the knees some cycles ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ excited to learn more and be here with you warriors!

Describing PMDD
How to accurately explain PMDD to a significant other so they get it. It's not just PMS or 'that time of the month'.

I just watched Jessica's video for PMS vs. PMDD and it's super short and clear so that's a great way to provide your partners the differences then describing how it can make you feel typically is great. Although I can get such amnesia as soon as I'm done bleeding so taking notes about how you're feeling when you're in it if it's possible has helped me a ton. I loving call the PMDD, Dark and Stormy time. I am a very sunshiney person to go from that one day to waking up like Eeyore because a totally different storm system with heavy fog and thunderstorms and unpredictable weather has come to settle in for however many days. This is a common way I have been able to describe it to my husband and friends. The Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde scenario is also the most clear cut image for me to use along with the feeling of having no control over turning into a werewolf on the full moon and the werewolf me is a totally different feral animal who is on a hairpin stress trigger and all my very valuable coping tools and relationship skills I have access too pre-ovulation go out the window. But sharing with my partner and friends and family the facts of what's happening to my body and then how it feels when I experience it have been supportive to my relationships in increasing their understanding and compassion.
