December Challenge, Day 18
- Katie carried the mental labor of planning a meal for someone in our church, thinking through what they would enjoy and what would fit in our schedule for her to make. - Planned the evening out so I could run some errands solo while she took the kids and met up with a friend—kin-keeping since her friend is a former coworker, but is an important person in her life, and carved out time, even with kids in tow. - Reminded me to follow up with our daughter’s OT about something we had been meaning to contact her about. - Researched and got recommendations about soccer leagues for our son who’s been begging to play soccer.

New!
I was invited by Katie Muller, but I’ve been following Zach for a long time and really appreciate the work he’s been doing! Some mental load I’ve recently managed, much like I’m sure many are, was scheduling Christmas plans with family in our hometown. It’s always fun but the planning can be so exhausting!

Glad you joined Tori! If you and your partner were to jump in the challenge, what would you hope to shift or improve?

New here
There isn’t much that is my responsibility and my spouse’s responsibility. For example, we both grocery shop or we both mowed the lawn. We both make dinner or we both clean the house. It really takes a lot off my mental load especially when things get overwhelming. Thanks Katie and Jake Muller for referring us.

New & Hi!
I was referred here by Katie and Jake Muller! :) My husband has helped my mental load by taking care of the whole spirit week this week for our child. His school planned a spirit week AND a secret friend, so he has had to draw, make cards, buy gifts for a “secret friend”, and this whole week I have not had to lift a finger - he’s done it ALL! I haven’t gotten home from my day until about 8pm each night, so he knew this was one less thing I wouldn’t have to think about with having a crazy, hectic week!
