Question about posting content outside of your expertise
Hi All, This fall I am doing a fundraiser (hopefully) Think of it like me running a marathon and people are sponsoring me as I go thru it. The charity is NOT a financial literacy charity (my niche) and I talk about money management, not about how to run a marathon. Would you post about the marathon on your youtube channel if you were me? A series of short video check ins? Or is the rule never post outside of your channel's theme? Anyone already done something like this? As a general rule do you post about personal life on youtube like you might on FB or Instagram? I welcome any thoughts! Thanks!

Changing Audio of YouTube Short AFTER Uploaded
Does anyone have experience with this? In a google search it says it possible in the desktop editor, but when I follow the steps and try to click the music icon, nothing happens.

The Three Types of YouTube Followers: From Passive Viewers to Loyal Advocates
I wanted to share some thoughts about the three different types of followers there are on YouTube and understand how certain types of content will help us attract which type of followers. 1. Passive Viewers Who They Are: These folks enjoy our videos, but they’re pretty passive. They watch but don’t really interact beyond that. They might not subscribe, comment, or share our content. They’re like the silent majority – there but not really engaged. Characteristics: - Mostly just watch our SHORTS and might subscribe - Almost never would they buy from us, it's as if they don't exist except in adding more numbers to our account. - They’re there for the funny/engaging content, not the community, learning, or you. Content That Attracts Them: - Entertaining videos that catch their interest but don’t require further engagement. - Trending topics or viral content that brings in views without expecting interaction. 2. Conditional Supporters Who They Are: These followers are more engaged, but their support is often conditional. They’ll like, comment, and subscribe if there’s something in it for them – like a giveaway or exclusive content. Characteristics: - Engage when there's a clear benefit. - Will subscribe and interact. - Motivated by incentives like contests or discounts. Content That Attracts Them: - Interactive content with calls to action, like contests, giveaways, and challenges. - Exclusive content, behind-the-scenes videos, or special offers that reward engagement. 3. Loyal Advocates Who They Are: These are our superfans. They trust us and our content deeply. They engage consistently, support our endeavors, and often promote our channel to others. They’re the ones who buy our merch, join memberships, buy our masterclasses, and spread the word. Characteristics: - Highly engaged and loyal. - Actively support us through purchases and promotions. - Trust our recommendations and are willing to buy what we sell. - Share our content with others. Tell others to follow you.

Video Engagement Hack - Mess Up The Caption
I have several YouTube Shorts that are consistently getting thousands of views every hour. One video currently has 3.3 million views and over 1,800 comments. One video currently has 1.3 million views and over 4,000 comments. One video currently has 400k views and over 400 comments. As each of these videos continues to get attention and engagement, I noticed a common thread between them is that I messed up the caption on each of these videos. Sadly I didn't do it intentionally, but it's worked very much in my favor because people LOVE to tell me I'm wrong in the comments. I always respond with some form of, "Yes correct, you are right, I made a mistake with my caption." and then move on. But having them watch and then comment helps with engagement.
