I have several YouTube Shorts that are consistently getting thousands of views every hour.
One video currently has 3.3 million views and over 1,800 comments.
One video currently has 1.3 million views and over 4,000 comments.
One video currently has 400k views and over 400 comments.
As each of these videos continues to get attention and engagement, I noticed a common thread between them is that I messed up the caption on each of these videos. Sadly I didn't do it intentionally, but it's worked very much in my favor because people LOVE to tell me I'm wrong in the comments. I always respond with some form of, "Yes correct, you are right, I made a mistake with my caption." and then move on. But having them watch and then comment helps with engagement.
