Hi everyone!
Who am I - My name is Nesra
A Fun topic about yourself - I'm from Istanbul, Turkey originally but moved to the US for grad school and then decided to stay. I also love to play tennis and paint!
What do I do
• Professionally - Special Faculty and Senior Systems Scientist at Carnegie Mellon University in the Human Computer Interaction Institute.
• Personally - I founded a start up based on my PhD research at Carnegie Mellon. It's a patented mixed-reality AI platform bridging physical and virtual worlds to improve children's inquiry-based STEM learning and 21st century thinking skills like critical thinking and persistence (www.norilla.org).
Why Did I join the community - I have a growth mindset and love learning new things and connecting with others. I also love to help others in any way I can.
What would I like to get out of the community - I would like to learn more about leadership and would love to make new connections with others in the community who come from different backgrounds and experiences.
