Hello
Who am I - Hi everyone, I am Swati, born and raised in India but now a Swedish citizen living in Amsterdam so truly a citizen of the world. 😃 What I do- I am an organisational development leader in IKEA and work with C-suite and their management teams on organisational redesign, transformations, leadership training and executive coaching (ICF certified). I have over 15+ years of work experience in India, Sweden, The Netherlands with colleagues from all around the world. Why am I here - Even though I have lot of experience in indirect leadership, influencing and working with various level stakeholders, I haven’t had much experience in direct people management yet. So I am here to learn, get coached and trained on specifically those elements but also to share my own learnings and experiences. How to find me- You can connect with me on LinkedIn or here- Swati Narwal

Jen's Epic Networking Tip: The Selfie
Hey everyone, for those who joined later, Jens shared a great networking tip, that I tried at a conference last week and it worked like a charm :) You ask If you can take a selfie and then you offer to send the Selfie to the other person and hand them your phone so they can put their contact details in. In my case, I would do the Selfie approach only after a proper conversation or at least a deeper chitchat. My narrative was to ask for a selfie because it helps me remember and visualise the conversations again, since I forget names very quickly. This is the truth btw. People empathised with that and were happy to take the picture and then 90 percent wanted the picture as well so I collected their contacts. If the groups were bigger I also offered to take a photo of them instead of a selfie and send it to them. I can 💯 percent recommend that tip and will link the Video from Jens below. Good luck networking!!!

@Jens Heitland always have a pen in pocket and write down keywords on their business card immediately after separating your ways. A good option when you don't manage to catch the selfie 😅

Weekend - work or relax
How do you usually spend your weekends—do you prefer to unwind and recharge or tackle projects and get a head start on the week? Some people swear by taking it easy to fully relax, while others feel more productive using that extra time to get things done. Which approach do you think sets you up for a better week? As for me, I like to focus on projects like LitterPic! (LitterPic.org)

In general, I definitely prefer full recharge in order to freshly jump back into it on Mondays. But in reality, weekends are being taken over by my video editing side-hustle 😃😼‍💹
