Category Matters!

Thought I would try a little experiment this morning. Something I've been thinking about lately. I've been wondering how much of a difference category makes to STR on a certain item.

I decided to try this morning with a pair of Nike Golf Pants. In the eBay search, I typed in "Nike Golf", then calculated STR for a few different categories. Here's what I found:

Mens > Pants - 37.8% STR

Sporting Goods > Golf > Mens Clothing - 39.7%

Mens > Activewear > Pants - 42.8%

I think this is pretty significant! 5% difference in STR depending on just category.
