eBay Sales While in Vacation Mode
When we set our store to vacation mode we checked the box to allow sales while we were gone. This did notify the buyer that we would ship upon our arrival back in town. Our Auto Posher continued to delist and re-list items daily. This kept activity going for eBay purposes. We have averaged over a sale per day while gone. eBay is showing we have until 3 days after our return to ship our sales. For those afraid to put your store in vacation mode…don’t be afraid. Sales can still happen if you check the box allowing them.

Thanks for this! I have been hesitant to do this, but now I think I'm giving it a try next time I go out of town! Thanks @Jerry Wilson !

I do men's hats in accessories regardless of brand. Travis mathew will show up in the search if they type hat or cap.
How are everyone's sales going this month?
This is my first year reselling, and each month is a new experience for me. Last month I doubled the previous months profit, but this month is a whole lot slower. I assume it'll be slow this month and then pick up again next month since it's right after back to school and most people have done their shopping. But just curious to see how everyone else is doing and what the busier months tend to be 😊

It's been a good month for me. Every month is different!
Selling Hard Goods
Hey - wondering who out there is also reselling hard goods? I know most of us here are clothing and shoe resellers. However, I've been a hard goods seller for decades, I just switched over to clothes and shoes a few years ago, well added clothes and shoes, not actually switched over really. I focus primarily on clothes and shoes now. But I've started to kinda lean back into hard goods a bit. One reason is that it does seem that GW doesnt really care about pulling vintage items and other valuable hard goods including electronics from the shelves for their auctions. Also, hard goods require a different knowledge base so there appears to me to be less competition. And third, there just seems to me to be more and more people who are getting into reselling through selling used clothing, because lets face it, in a thrift store, its the category that has the most volume in each store. I do understand hard goods like vintage items, pyrex, etc requires a specific audience and most vintage items are a bit of a long tail. But it's been my experience that there is more money to be made in selling some of the better hard good items. What do you all think?

When I first started, I did hard goods, Specifically Mugs! I was selling mugs left and right and picking them up between -0.25 and 2.00. I made huge profits on Star bucks and Deneen Pottery (Especially Deathwish Deneen!). And then one day the mugs stopped selling fast and my local spots were up charging like crazy! I was also up to my neck in shipping material and running out of space. I decided to take a break from mugs and I never went back. I have toyed with the thought of going back. I started selling clothes, and while i found it to be boring, I was selling it faster and had way more space. I operate out of my garage. Shipping was cleaner and cheaper and refunds were easier. I may go back to mugs...maybe.
Selling items that need to be authenticated
Ive been selling Nike sneakers for several years and the standard procedure is that if they cost $75 and above, that Ebay will do authentication for the buyer, which means I ship to the authenticator, not the buyer. I thought it odd that I sold a paid of Nikes this past week, which I sold for $91.00. Shipping label was to the buyer. There was no mention on Ebay or the shipping page that it was going to the authenticator. Weird. Only problem is that I shipped it Monday, it was only going to the state next door, and its not delivered yet, but shows hopefully the 16th. Buyer has messaged asking where his shoes are. I suppose I'll wait till Monday and contact Ebay. Anyone ever have this situation?

Never had this happened, but ebay could have changed their $75 minimum. My guess is the mail is delayed. I've got a couple items out that are taking a little longer than normal.
