How To Run 3x A Week For Your Marathon (Video Breakdown)
Hey Strong Runners πŸ’ͺπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ I recently put together a video on how to run only 3x a week for your half or full marathon. I've talked to thousands and have personally coached hundreds of runners over the years and one of the things I hear constantly is that running 5x a week is causing them to get injured. And it makes sense because that much volume, especially if you are running your first half or full marathon, is oftentimes MORE than what your body can handle. You are essentially going from 0 to 100... So what ends up happening is you start with a little bit of discomfort/pain in, let's say the knee, and because your plan has you run 5x a week you continue to push through it. Unfortunately your injury usually gets worse and worse. Not better. And that's why runners will end up in physical therapy, not able to run for months, and have to defer their race until next year. But because you are apart of this awesome community, I won't let that happen to you. I will show you how you can run just 3x a week for your marathon and avoid getting seriously injured. Click on the video below to watch it. Enjoy, Tony Johnson

Admin Intro.
Hello runners! I am an admin for this group and would like to briefly introduce myself. I work for Tony and have ran multiple marathons myself. I currently live in Reno, Nevada. My best time so far is 3:45 on a flat course (not that time matters!) , I have ran a few ultra marathons to date, (50k) and I am working toward further distances! 100k (62 miles) being the goal right now. πŸ’ŽπŸ’ŽπŸ’ŽAs a new member to the community I would like to extend you an offer to hop on a 1 on 1 call with me and we can discuss your current training/goals and game plan for your running future! If you would like to speak with me then please send me a private Direct Message and we can arrange a time that works for you! Thank you very much and I wish you all the success in your training! πŸ’ŽπŸ’ŽπŸ’Ž

Hello All!
Hi, my name is Alexandra and I'm so happy to find this group! I ran my first half marathon back in May 2023. I enjoy running and pushing the limits. I am not yet training for a marathon, but I plan on looking into training regimens soon. Not sure which race I'll be looking into yet. I have had trouble with my hips and knees in the past which has been the hardest thing to overcome with my running, especially after doctors told me that "I just wasn't made to run" (haha). I went to physical therapy and learned how to stretch and work with my body properly and I'm one half marathon down, and looking forward to pursuing more races (half and full marathons) in the near future! Looking forward to connecting with this great community for advice and inspiration!

New to the group!
Hi guys. Just introducing myself. I officially start my Marathon training in the morning. I plan to be at the gym at 4:30 AM. How is it going for you guys? Anyone from GA? The longest I’ve ever ran is 12 miles and I didn’t train for it. When I got to the finish line, it felt like I got hit by a bus, this happened a few years ago. I decided that it would be best if I train in advance for these long runs. I don’t want to injure myself. I’m excited and I’m looking forward to this marathon journey! Cheers!
