Today I sped things up a bit on the treadmill as part of a goal to hit a sub 20min 5k (and smash my VO2 Max goal)
After a decent 10-15 min warmup I did this…
(2 mins @ 16km/ph, 2 mins walk) X 4
16 km/ph is basically a sprint for me. It’s all about getting used to running at a faster pace.
This pace will easily get me under a 30 min 5k. Just need to train my body to maintain it.
This type of HIIT session is extremely good for increasing VO2 Max
