Ghrelin without hunger?

Hi, I have a question about Ghrelin. If I understand it correct is Ghrelin the forerunner of Human Growth Hormone HGH. Hunger is a sign of Ghrelin taking action but what if you aren't hungry?

I'm seldom hungry and ask myself if Ghrelin still are at work even if I don't feel the hunger? I use to eat dinner at 5 pm and then lunch the next day around 1pm. I'm not hungry but I run out of energy.
