Hey All, Check out the Calendar for our upcoming classes throughout November. Classes are 60mins and open to all, within this community. You will notice there is a focus for each of the upcoming classes. Monday 11th - Spinal Flow and Arm Swings Monday 18th - Grounded Feet and Bouncy Legs Monday 25th - Hip Mobility and Strength We have a Q+A happening at the end of the month so if you have any questions that build from your interactions in these classes, come along and have a chat with us on the 30th November. Faces and Jaws
Hey team. Thought I'd post my question to the Community Board in case anyone else is interested. Context: Groundwork has helped me become aware of how my holding patterns can result in significant tightness of the jaw and how I move my neck and head. (And... then how the impacted movement of my neck and head impacts the tightness/discomfort of my jaw which then exacerbates my bad mood). I've started doing some "intuitive face/jaw massage and stretching". (In private. Because jaw stretching would genuinely scare small children). This provides temporary relief. Question: @Emma Robson has sometimes included a face stimulation at the end of a morning practice and seems to know a thing or two about the lymph system and the benefits of that area. Do you have any recommended reading / videos / resources that would help me in my Face Quest? (I'm genuinely interested in all the tiny muscles that live around the face and base of skull. I have a feeling they're important) (And yes, before anyone asks, I am trying to address the underlying causes for the clenching.) (The pain gets to "can't chew my crusty sourdough bread" and also impacts my singing resonance so it's legit impacting my quality of life)

Countdowns and Q&A
Is anyone else getting sentimental when they realise we're at the 10 day countdown to graduation? Also, I'm excited for Q&A this week because I've accumulated some (relevant) stories and metaphors. ( @Glenn Robson / @Emma Robson - if you were to reveal the topic ahead of time I could order these ideas to be more coherent!! And decrease my anxiety of repeating the "what does functional mean to you?" "Being able perform said function" sess)

Glennspiration for the Week
Hi all. I'm taking notes from last week's Group Class in preparation for this week. There was a great moment at the end when Glenn got a bit poetic. Thought I'd share it here in case anyone missed it. "We think of ourselves like machines, as if we were cars. A car doesn’t change shape – the parts are the parts. But that’s not how we are at all. Spend your time shaping a Bonsai Tree. The same thing happens to your limbs. You are shaped by gravity and time. That’s it.
