Wins (Week 1)
Started first week of breathwork practices. Iโ€™ve completed 6 daily breathwork practices alternating between CO2 Exposed Retention (Level 2) and 30/30/10 (Suspension). I thought I would need to be one level 1 for a while but actually found it easier than I thought and was able to move to level 2 instead Iโ€™ve also completed the IRV and ERV stretch on 3 occasions which I have been doing after some mobility work to help open up my thoracic spine as well as the release exercises in the mobility section. Biggest win however has been through a reduction in panic when experiencing air hunger. Usually when I do a full exhale there is panic in me and forces me to take a quick deep inhale. But Iโ€™ve found that, although still unpleasant, I can, take a slower inhale knowing that the panic will pass after a few seconds. Because of this Iโ€™ve taken the time on a few occasions this week to just breathe with slow inhales and exhales. I even got to the point on one day where I could breathe in and out through my nose for 15s each way. Usually breathing out through my nose I can struggle to do 6s

Amazing! I wonder if you had issues at any point when you were younger with panic during a situation where you could not breathe or ran out of breath. That may be why you panic now if you have not healed that trauma.

@Edward Rogers There you go. That is probably where the panic comes from. The best thing to do is get in touch with your 6 or 7 yr old to process that fear.
Journey to breathwork
What made you become interested in breathwork and wanting to learn more about it? For me, breathwork was introduced to me about a year ago when I went for psilocybin therapy. At the time I wasnโ€™t really with it cognitively to truly take it in but starting IFS therapy with the person who introduced it to me got me interested in looking into it again. I then read the book Breathe by James Nestor and became interested in the profound changes that it could maje
