Understanding Overhands
Here is a look at how to train the overhand in WGB. Remember the overhand isn't a hook, it is an arc. Think of the opposite of an uppercut and you are getting close. Swiveling your head from the inside to the outside is where the centrifugal force is generated, this creates power in a way that doesn't come naturally to most. Practice this

Favorite Punch
Question for the group- What is your favorite single punch to throw? Personally, it's a tie between the D'amato shift body hook and the Left Straight (what Dempsey referred to as a Jolt punch).

@Xavier Wilson normally bust it out when the swivel to the head isn’t doing the job
Intro to Centerline
Understand this concept, this is a rough draft of the lesson on this but it is the start of understanding upper body positioning in fighting

I would like to know more about what you think of boxing. What is the most difficult part of boxing? What is the most fun part of it? What is the appeal of it as a martial art to you? I’d like to people to discuss more and engage more here! In this Skool we can really gain higher education

The most difficult part of boxing for me is that it’s absolutely necessary to overcome yourself and stay in control in order to be consistent and have proper technique/a strong enough body to compete, mind to not quit or be outboxed, spirit to not quit on yourself and believe in your own strength. It requires you to grow on all levels of life if you pay close enough attention to it. The most fun part is either figuring out the puzzle and being able to make the other person have to deal with your own, getting into that flow state either during training or sparring, or learning the Art and theory of boxing. Boxing has always had a place in my heart and across most cultures this is also a fact.
