Keep going.
Hey guys, I’m happy to share that after long and challenging months of job hunting, I have been offered a Full-Stack/Front-End Software Engineer role at Cloudera. I hope this gives you some fuel on the road wherever you may be right now. What all the alumni said before is true. I can only reassure you that every single minute of work that you put into learning, researching, and going through the program will pay off in the end. I want to say a big thank you to all the cool people at Squared who have been building the app from day 1 working hard every day sacrificing their time and energy. Last but not least, I want to say thank you to the dopest mentor and one of the best trainers/teachers whom I’ve ever worked with. Thank you, Cristian for all your support and making this all happen! Keep up the great work you guys, you'll all get there soon! 🤙🤙💪💪 Cheers, Simon

Updates for the course
The courses have been merged. We now have an HTML & CSS course, JS course, React course, and Crypto App course (think of them as chapters), you probably lost the progress but don't freak out, the videos are in the same order. Next up: You will have transcriptions for all videos (we are working on this as we speak, so you should see the changes in the next three days). I just posted two job adverts up. One for HR, so I'm looking for a tech recuiter that can help you pass the phone screenings with the recruiter, HR and hiring manager. And the second job will be for a technical interview coach, someone that can teach you algos, system design and so on and so forth. Ideally there will be a weekly call with each one of the coaches. This will only be available to those who are part of the team project (squared). I will keep you posted with the progress on the hiring side and the rest of the things we are working on on the backend.

one of the visually most disgusting things I've ever seen in my life
On the Hunt
This week I've met 4 awesome people in the local tech industry, with another coming this evening. None of these have led to an opportunity, but it feels good to have conversations with professional developers and understand what they're talking about when they talk about their position. After having these conversations there's no doubt that all of us are overprepared to start working in this industry, and there's no reason we shouldn't walk into interviews like we're hot shit. Also, I feel lucky to develop on a team that pushes me to be better every day.

Nice one! I feel you..I had my first real interview today and even though it was a rejection as they told me straight up front that the original position has just been filled and they are looking for someone heavy for the backend instead with solid experience, it was good to experience the reality of it and it gave me the motivation to do more. Keep it going!
