The Sinless Nature of Humanity
My father recently shared with me notes from a class he’s teaching about the parable of the Good Samaritan. If you’re not familiar with the story, the short version is that a man who wasn’t Hebrew saw a badly beaten man who was Hebrew and helped him even though other prominent Hebrews walked right past him. One of the morals of the story is that the true neighbor is both the one in need, and the one giving help, not necessarily the ones who are most alike. Because my father is still an Evangelical Christian, he often ties his conclusions back to his belief in salvation as the Christians see it. He adheres to the doctrine which states that “…it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.” At the end of his class notes, he came to a similar conclusion which really got me thinking. His conclusion is this: “By convincing ourselves that we can achieve eternal life by obedience to some standard of our own making, we disqualify ourselves from receiving the gift of salvation.” I’ve been studying these ideas a lot lately and I’m coming to some unconventional conclusions. The statement, “disqualify ourselves from receiving the gift of salvation” is deeply profound. This reminds me of a passage from A Course In Miracles. It says, “The Holy Spirit cannot punish sin. Mistakes He recognizes, and would correct them all as God entrusted Him to do. But sin He knows not, nor can He recognize mistakes that cannot be corrected. For a mistake that cannot be corrected is meaningless to Him. Mistakes are for correction, and they call for nothing else...Every mistake must be a call for love.” I’m also coming to understand that if God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, then it takes a tremendous delusion of the ego to suppose that any one of us could ever be separate from Him. And if God has and is these traits, and God is the highest perfection of perfection, then how could sin exist? How could God have created something that wills to destroy him and has the power to do so? Instead, what we call sin is an aspect of that same delusion of the ego.

@Noa Andermatt I really like the idea that when they consumed the fruit there was nothing magical about it, but instead, they took on matter. They became what they ate and to them, that fruit represented duality. It's similar to what the Christians practice with their communion or eucharist. They imbibe the body and blood of Christ and acknowledge that they are becoming Christ. It reminds me of the saying in the Gospel of Thomas, "Jesus said, ‘Blessed is the lion which the man eats, and the lion will become man; and cursed is the man whom the lion eats, and the lion will become man.'"
Does Jesus forgive sins?
Hey folks, This is a topic I'm trying to sort out, and I wonder if you can help me. In this video, I present the argument that nowhere in the Gospel stories does Jesus forgive anyone's sins. Instead, he merely lets people know that "your sins are forgiven." Can you guys take a look at this and help me sort this idea out? Is there something in the Course I don't know about? Is there a perspective I'm missing? It seems like this is a rock-solid idea, but I know there are holes in my presentation. Any and all feedback is very welcome. Thanks. God is Non-binary!
Hey all, My video this week is not very challenging for people like you, as you already know the allness of God. But, I thought you still might enjoy my presentation of the idea. Thanks for watching. Thanks for subscribing. And thanks for sharing. :). https://youtu.be/VHL3z67O0ew?si=-mDq130uzJkcR7DZ

@Jami Warkentin that’s an interesting point. I can’t believe I never thought of it that way before. I mean…I remember some of my past lives, and in at least one of them I was female human. But in this one I’m a male human. After all, “I am NOT the body”. Yet, humans, cats, salmon, oak trees - all have genetics which carry the momentum of evolutionary history, intricately intertwined with one another in a glorious dance. Who are we, as mere observers of this plane of existence and jewel of a planet, to interfere with its natural course and beauty? I need to ponder this more deeply.

@Naty Tancio I wrote the post below in another group a couple months ago about this idea. It's a beautiful, powerful idea. What you seek is seeking you I just found a book recommendation from a friend - Reality Unveiled by Ziad Masri. The first words are "What you seek is seeking you." This concept was so profound to me when I first understood it. Let's make three assumptions together to work out this hypothesis. First, we're human which means we are mammals which means we evolved here on earth. Second, nature, along her evolutionary path, has developed a lot of ways for things to go from the unreal to the real. Babies that weren't here last year are here now. Plants that didn't exist a month ago are in my garden now. There's a never ending cycle of things popping in and out of existence. Third, humans have the unique capacity of envisioning our future and developing tools and methods of making those visions reality. If you can agree to these things, then check out this hypothesis: The fundamental drive of any species - plant, animal, or otherwise - is to carry on it's genes. One could argue that is the fundamental drive underlying the evolutionary process. Any living thing, plant, animal or otherwise, has to eat in order to live long enough to reach reproductive maturity, reproduce as much as possible, continue in some form to help ensure the survival of the offspring, then pass away. Plants have evolved a particular way to use mammals and insects to help them with their process. They use pollen in flowers and seeds imbedded in fruit to entice creatures to eat the fruit and then spread the seeds around through...various means. They entice the creatures by making the fruit delicious, nutritious, sweet, and nice to look at. Creatures get a craving for this kind of food whenever it's in season and do their part of carrying on the genes of the plants. It's not much of a stretch to say that there is more in the unreal, the quantum, then potential for more plants. The quantum realm is an infinite place of vibrations, frequencies, potentials and probabilities with which we interact all day every day through our thoughts and emotions.

@Reyna Doerr you can't NOT find each other. But you also have to take inspired action. Are you familiar with Florence Shinn? She was a Truth teacher back in the 1920's up to the 40's. She often said, "Never waste a hunch." But that's also part of the magic of being human. A lot of it is up to us. We are each specifically tuned with certain dispositions - our bodies are transceivers - we send and receive frequencies from and to the Universe all day every day. We can't NOT being communicating with the Universe. Are you familiar with Nikola Tesla? I'm paraphrasing, but he said that in order to understand the Cosmos, we must think in terms of frequency and vibration. This means that all the things that do not yet exist in the material world, do exist in the non-material world as frequency and potential. Certain ideas, technologies, actions, desires, sort of come in waves and become available to humanity. Those who are naturally tuned to those things, begin to manifest them. Like, the frequency for a new style of Gucci purse is out there as a potential, but blows right past me because I'm not tuned to it. But, if there's a frequency for a new woodworking project that someone needs, I'm highly tuned and I'll start act. See? Saint Paul wrote, 1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink ... Bible Hub https://biblehub.com › 1_corinthians "whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God." King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." And according to Dr. David Hawkins, once we reach a certain level of consciousness, I believe he labels it as level 500, we start to see that everything that happens to us, everything that we do, everything that is, is all part of the Divine Plan, and works to raise our consciousness and that of those around us.
