What problem do you solve? Workshop recording
Thanks to everyone who attended our free workshop today on niching down. We specifically focused on gaining clarity on the problem you solve. Remember, if you don't solve a problem, you don't have a solution. Without a solution, you can't sell anything. In this training, we went over: 1. Why you need to solve a problem 2. Examples from other industries (Tinder vs e-harmony) 3. Why the problem you solve isn't linguistic 4. Where you can find the problem you solve 5. A case study of a student not knowing his own problem 6. A reflection task Here's another reflection task for you: Imagine you teach in a language school. You have ten students in your class. Why are they there? Think like the owner of the institution. What did they pitch those students? What problem are they solving for those students? It’s unlikely the school sold them on doing page 87 in the grammar book :). Add your thoughts below. As well, add the problem you solve for your clients below (at least what you have so far) and we can help you tweak it. This is an essential component of any business, so let's get it right before we start building solutions.

Thank you, it is interesting to think about it in a deeper way, although I still struggle trying to translate this to groups, which is what I work with. I live in Central America, and basically everyone needs to learn English to be more qualified to apply to any job, regardless of their field, it has become a general requirement for most cases. Trying to solve individual, very specific problems would be much easier, If it was targeted to 1 to 1 clients, wouldn't it?

Thanks for the input, I will give this a thought and find my way around it.
Recording: Psychology of Marketing - Action required!
Thanks for dropping by @Leonardo Gomes session today on marketing. We hope you enjoyed it. Here's the recording for your reference. CALL TO ACTION: Brainstorm a decoy effect for your offer and drop it in the comments below. We'll come up with these and help each other out. If you have any questions on the decoy effect or marketing in general, drop them below and we'll continue the conversation. Here are the talking points of the session: 1️⃣ Have you ever noticed how the introduction of a third option can drastically influence your decision-making? 🤔 2️⃣ Are you curious about the powerful strategies that successful companies like AMC, Starbucks, and "The Economist" have used to boost their sales by leveraging the psychology of marketing? 3️⃣ Do you want to unlock the secrets of consumer behavior, understand your prospects on a deeper level, and gain practical strategies to enhance your marketing efforts as a teacher entrepreneur? 🎯

I need help with my marketing I think lol
Vanessa
Hi teachers! I’m Vanessa, from Brazil, living in Australia but soon moving to Italy. For this reason, I’m building my online business. I don’t want to depend on jobs there (and my level of Italian is still elementary). I was teaching ESL to International students in a school in Australia, but actually want to try my business in teaching Japanese (which I was doing in Brazil). Thank you all for letting me in here. Happy to help others and even more to receive advice/tips!

@Vanessa Higashi Hi Vanessa, In my experience, I have noticed that the interest in Japanese pop culture can also go from kids and teens all the way to young adults, and adults who really enjoy manga, anime and all those things. Which makes is a bigger market. Also, I have noticed that even though younger learners don't have much of a money power decision, their parents are always looking for things to keep their kids busy and happy, therefore they become more long term clients, adults tend to be more unreliable. I hope this helps. 😉
Webinar for Teachers Who Want to Learn to Sell
Hi folks, I would like to invite you all to our first webinar in our "Psychology of Marketing" series. Have you ever noticed how the introduction of a third option can drastically influence your decision-making? Are you curious about the powerful strategies that successful companies like AMC, Starbucks, and "The Economist" have used to boost their sales by leveraging the Decoy Effect? Do you want to unlock the secrets of consumer behaviour, understand your prospects on a deeper level, and gain practical strategies to enhance your marketing efforts as a teacher entrepreneur? In this session, participants will gain a clear understanding of what the decoy effect is, how it influences decision-making, and the underlying cognitive biases involved. By the end of this session, you will grasp the psychological mechanisms behind this effect and how it can be used to influence consumer behaviour and decision-making, thereby improving your business strategies. Hope to see you all there! :)
