Thriving Educators
In a recently published article in Canadian Educator magazine entitled "Five Principles to Help Educators Thrive," educator Lyne Frank outlined approaches to help educators balance professional ambition and personal growth. Here is her list: 1. Teaching is what you do, not who you are. 2. Create boundaries to prevent burnout. 3. Redefine what makes an excellent teacher. 4. Find a teacher bestie. 5. Understand the value of less is more. Many of these are also true about managing your teaching business. Are there any here you agree with? What would you add to this list? Have you checked out our new podcast episode with Sarah Mercer? In it, she discusses the many facets of teacher burnout. I look forward to seeing your thoughts on this. If you'd like to get some 1-1 feedback on your teaching business be sure to reach out in the DMs or book a strategy session👉https://www.learnyourenglish.net/schedule Have a great weekend!

No Excuses November
Hi Everyone, I hope you all kicked November off with a productive week. While I have been chatting with many of you in the DMs, I have not officially welcomed some of our newest members. So, a big "Welcome!" to @Bethany Anderson @Inga Kezina @Patricia Guimarães @Vicki Robinson @Nurmukhammad Ravshanov @Mp Stevens @Marina Petrova @Shaun Styles @Barbara Murai @Daria Zelenkina and @Luke Souza . If you have not done so, please take action. Introduce yourself to our community. Our community of teachers looking to expand professionally expand themselves is growing fast. If I have missed you here and have not reached out, please feel free to DM me and call my butt out. Chances are, you're here because you want to escape precarity and are thinking about taking some of your classroom work and turning it into a business. BUT, you need someone to work with you 1-1 and support you through the process while holding your butt accountable😅. Or, perhaps, you've already started but have hit a plateau. Well, book a strategy session to chat about your options. We'll help you thread the needle between good teaching and creating a business that works for you. All we want is your commitment to work hard throughout the process🤝. In the meantime, stay connected here, and reach out to @Leonardo Gomes @Andrew Woodbury or @Michael Landry (me) to talk things over or get some quick advice🙋‍♀️. Let's kick some butt this month so we can finish November strong🏁.

1:1 Student Referral
Hello fellow teacherpreneurs! I have a potential client who reached out to me but isn't the best fit for my areas of expertise. If you are currently open to taking on more 1:1 clients and can check at least a few of these boxes, or can recommend another teacher who does, please reply! - Enjoy teaching beginners - Have experience teaching teenagers or young adults - Have experience teaching learners on the autism spectrum - Living in the Western Hemisphere and available between 1 PM and 3 PM PST. Please reply if you or someone you know might be interested--this potential client is ready to sign up for classes and I don't want to turn them away without someone to recommend to them!

Want to earn more? Make a better offer
The biggest mistake we see teachers making is overcomplicating things. The best way to avoid that is to follow the 'RULE OF ONES'. → One offer → One problem you solve → One method to solve it → One way to enroll → One way to renew And ...→ One happy client 🙃 Keep it simple. You've got this! What's your ONE offer? Leave a comment and we'll give you some feedback.
