Tutorials Required
Hi Guys. I am new to this group. I've been working in the industry for about year and have been implementing FDM and FVM using MATLAB and Python for all my projects. I wish to transition to built in solvers to increase my skillset for which I wanted some tutorials which could explain me how to use a Meshing Tool (either Pointwise or ICEM) and how to use simulation tool (either fluent or SIEMENS or any other). I am very comfortable writing my own codes for these techniques having learnt them in my academics but I am a rookie when it comes to using these built in solvers. Requesting you all to please help me with some Tutorial link !

Hi Chinmay, If your company owns commercial licenses for Ansys or Siemens, they also have access to the support and they'll be able to help you with the get go. Alternatively you can try a simple search on YouTube or Google with your concerned topic and see where that takes you. At the very least, all tools come with solid documentation and have some tutorial cases therein. If you need to up the game a bit, start with openfoam. for OpenFOAM, check out Josef Nagy and Wolf Dynamics channel on Youtube.

Hi Everyone, I am Ranjit Desai. I am an independent consultant for CFD in the Water and Environment sector. I have 8+ years of experience in the industry, and it's been over a decade since I started using CFD in undergrads to solve problems. My specialization is in open channel flows, and I use CFD to solve Problems with Dams, Water Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations, Sewers, and sometimes Rivers. I have worked with Ansys Fluent and Flow3D. I migrated my entire CFD workflow to open-source tools. I currently use OpenFOAM, ParaView & FreeCAD. I enjoy helping out people and solving problems. I'm here to learn, collaborate, and contribute.
