Music Pubblishing and Sync
Hello everyone! I have some doubts about how Sync works, I have a new single to release next month and I was looking to release with my distributor TuneCore that I used before. I noticed they have a Publishing Service (69$) and Sync. Now, I'm not a big Artist but I would like to know if someone else here ever tried to work with them or better, how a Sync placement works in real world. Thank you in advance if someone can help me. :)

@Dave Graham thank you Dave! That's good to know. Do you have other info's about Syncs, at least something worth trying besides market the Release as I can through Videos and Socials?

What's your favorite DAW?
Hey everyone, here is a little action post I want to initiate: I am aware that a DAW is always a matter of taste. I am also aware that a DAW is only as good as the composer and in the end it really doesn't matter because the outcome is what really counts. Howeverrrrrrrrr .... 1. What is your favorite DAW/What is the DAW you are using? 2. Briefly explain why you like it or what features you like it for? Go! :)

I'm using Studio One from some years ago. I always enjoy the workflow on it, need some time to learn and master all the tools but it will become your best friend for music creation ahah :) Now I'm really curious to upgrade to 7 version, they're creating some cool stuff, easy workflow, stems separations and so on. :)
A new social network - new opportunities!
Hey guys, just quickly wanted to talk about Bluesky. There is a new social network that is currently trending like crazy and reached 15 million users just two days ago. Now, you may think that too many social networks aren't a good idea to be and that you are cool with just one or two of them already, ... and generally I agree, the less distractions, the better it is. However, keep in mind that social networks can always be split up into three simple categories: - 9:16 content - 16:9 content - text That's it. If you got a piece of 9:16 content below 60 secs, you can share it as: - Instagram Reel - YouTube Shorts video - TikTok post If you got a piece of text, you can share that to: - Facebook - Twitter/X - Bluesky - Threads - LinkedIn You get the idea. So whenever you have a piece of content, make sure to share it as on many platforms as possible because every little post is a new opportunity leading to potential new gigs, collaborations or business relationships. Now, we got Bluesky and it is basically, let's say, a welcome alternative to the Twitter, that, sadly, isn't Twitter anymore. Why should it matter in general? A fresh social network is a perfect platform to build a huge follower base, because the algorithms are new, meaning your content will automatically reach more and new people. During my time studying at the LACM in Los Angeles, one of my teachers, Linda Taylor said the following: Whenever you send out CDs (yes, back then this was the application medium of choice), put as much information about yourself as possible: Your name, phone number, pager, email address, postal address, everything! Now, today, 25 years later, the same applies to social networks. Be on as many as possible. The developer, the company, the client, the customer you may miss on Facebook or Instagram, may be around and open to your content on LinkedIn or TikTok ... and now, Bluesky :) Feel free to share your Bluesky Accounts here 👇 Here is mine: alexpfeffer.bsky.social

Hi Alex! This is a great video thanks for sharing this! Since I'm still building my career, at least trying my best, I decided to build my first website as Artist on Forthwall, I think they did a great job with this platform. It has function for membeship and community as well. So you can have everything in one place, your merch, digital products, newsletter and Bio. Do you know it? and what do you think about it?

@Alex Pfeffer yes, yeah totally agree! You've made a great one here :) It is also more meaningful for us as Artists to connect with others on a deeper level, without the limitations that traditional social media has. Thanks for the quick reply, see you around here! :)
Bringing Cinematic Music to Life: Adding Live Musicians ❤️🔥
Hey beautiful artists :) Adding live recordings of musicians or natural sounds into your track, even in small amounts, can create a fresh, human element that elevates the entire piece. Live sounds bring a kind of "realness" that samples and synthesized instruments sometimes can't capture fully. A single live instrument—like a cello line or subtle guitar—adds unique textures, imperfections, and nuances that bring depth and warmth, even to simple music. Plus, a live recording can breathe life into your track, helping listeners feel connected in a way that might be harder to achieve with purely digital sounds. Give it a try! Let me know in the comments below if you've tried this or would like to try it. :) Best, Ariel

Very cool video Ariel! Human feels is so important, I found that for all stringed instruments and drums too can make a huge difference. :)
