Boredom Eating
I love being outside this time of the year. I can putter in my gardens all day & all evening, BUT with HOT 🥵 weather it is not an option. By 1-2:00 i have to retreat to the house. Then I find myself reaching for snacks. I’m pretty good at choosing fruit or veggies but by evening I’m reaching for salty, carbs because I’m bored. What is everyone else doing to curb the boredom snacking?

Protein! I find when I have enough, I’m less snacky.

@Flory Stepa usually a protein shake because I don’t really like meats, but also hummus and veggies, 1% cottage cheese, Greek yogurt. I struggle to get in all of my protein, but if I do, I find I’m not very hungry throughout the day. Also, I’ve been drinking wine made by Bask. There’s no sugar or carbs so it logs as protein. Somehow I have a feeling @Andrew Desrochers my frown on me getting my protein this way, lol!
Calgary Stampede Pancakes 🥞
When you live in the area during the Calgary Stampede there are pancake breakfasts every where, every day. How can you not indulge in some pancakes, right! Well I did my research of all the events in my area and there were no shortages to pick from. I found the perfect one this morning, at my local health food store. They were serving up protein & gluten free pancakes, with sugar free syrup for the topping! They were delicious! I went for my walk this morning & did my workout before heading to the event, totally guilt free while chowing down my pancakes! Hee Yaw! Folks! Have a wonderful weekend 😊

Water Challenge
Why should I drink water? Water is vital to our health. It plays a key role in many of our body's functions, including bringing nutrients to cells, getting rid of wastes, protecting joints and organs, and maintaining body temperature. Water should almost always be your go-to beverage. I am the WORST at drinking water. I am actually the worst for drinking any fluid, period. I can’t seem to get in enough fluids to be adequate. Well that is the change I am going to make. I am going to be consciously working toward getting the recommended amount of WATER in each day and I am inviting you to actively participate in this challenge with me. 2 litres for women and 3 litres for men. Who’s in?

Holy Smokes it’s great to be Home!
After a 10 day vacation, lots of moving around ( changing destinations 😂) a few rainy days, lots of laughter & visiting, WAY to much lawn chair sitting for this gal, it feels great to be home and get back into routine! I have jumped back into my workouts, (that was something else) have done tons of yard work in my gardens, hours of weed whipping (great upper body workout) and incredibly grateful to shower & sleep in my bed this week. Looking forward to jumping back into a new week of Healthiness ! OH YA it’s stampede in Cow Town, way to many pancake breakfasts on the menu (JK) Have a great week ahead everyone😊

I feel you! We camped this weekend too, and it’s always good to get home! My workout space at the trailer is a little tight, and it rained so I didn’t get my steps in. Hopefully next weekend the weather holds out!
