Holidays
Just a reminder… you don’t get out of shape in between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s between Christmas and Thanksgiving that can hurt you. Flip the script, you can’t get in shape between Thanksgiving and Christmas, you get in shape between Christmas and Thanksgiving. Too many times I see the gym these next 4-6 weeks packed with people trying to “burn the holiday calories.” The holiday season is a time to be enjoyed. Have the food, enjoy the company, and of course be smart about your portions. But if you have a couple pieces of pie, or some drinks, operate as normal in the gym. There’s no need to do obsessive amounts of cardio, or spend 3 hours in the gym. Your weight will fluctuate this time of year, that’s normal, more than likely the foods we’re eating more of contain more salt and overall more fat. Stressing about eating too many calories will only take away from the time you have with your friends and family. Enjoy it, and once the holiday season is over, you’ll notice your weight slowly return back to normal. Happy holiday season everyone! Drop your favorite holiday tradition below! 🦃🎄

I’ve always had a complicated relationship with food that I didn’t want to pass to my boys. I’ve tried to make traditions that don’t entirely revolve around food. We have Christmas movie tradition we do as a family. It’s nice.
Meet Drew Thomas...my first Coach I'm bringing on to the LP Team!
As I continue to pray about what this community and this company is meant to be, it becomes more and more evident that this is way bigger than I what I can do alone. "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with a team". That's the plan. Drew is that answer to prayer. He's smart, talented, and just as passionate about helping people as I am. Read more about him here... "Hey everyone! I’m Drew, and I'm pumped to be a coach with the Legacy Performance tribe! Growing up, I was always the skinny kid, struggling to gain weight and feeling small. Playing sports like baseball kept me active, and it’s what sparked my passion for fitness. I started lifting to improve my performance—whether it was in weightlifting class at school or pro-athlete workouts at the rec center. When I graduated and left baseball behind, I knew I needed a new challenge. That’s when I found powerlifting through a local trainer, who became both my coach and mentor. After a couple of years in powerlifting, life shifted, and I moved into "hybrid training." Nick Bare was a big influence on me—especially with running, which I used to hate! Pushing myself, I decided to tackle a half and full marathon. In 2022, I ran my first half marathon, and in May 2024, I hit my best time: 1:55:32. When my wife and I welcomed our daughter, I knew it was time for another shift. Hybrid training was intense, and I was ready for something new. This led me back to bodybuilding—an area I’ve always loved. I say all this because our fitness goals change as life changes, and that’s perfectly okay. In my coaching career, I've been privileged to work with a wide range of people—from high school athletes to those in their 80s and 90s working on longevity, from desk job workers to multi-billionaires. My mission here is simple: to help you reach your full potential. We each have unique goals and limits, but together, we can push each other to the next level. Let’s grow and achieve—together!" Help me welcome this guy, and keep an eye out for much more value we will be bringing to you all inside this community.

Drew is my coach. And he’s the best. (There just wasn’t an emoji for that).
