Hang around winners
I got asked the same question about 40 times this last weekend. “What was the main that helped you win the games?” And it was actually incredibly simple to answer. Because looking back, there’s just 1 thing in common When I made my first $1 on Skool. Then when I made my first $1,000 back a couple months. And in June when I hit $10k. Now having scaled past $30k… What was it? I hung around winners. I spent time with people that made me feel like I wasn’t doing enough. Like I was sleeping on potential. The kind of people who had the life I wanted. And as soon as I started getting around those people… Without even realizing it, I started mirroring their habits, their beliefs, and their work ethic. Thanks to people like Ted Carr, Goose, Max Perzon, Farhoon Asim for constantly raising the bar for me and what I thought hard work looked like Find someone who is a few steps ahead of you, and either pay them, add free value to them, or do whatever it takes to earn their mentorship. That’s the missing piece to get you to the next level. See you at the top! 💪🏼

💎How I went from $0 Online to $26k/mo In 4 Months
If you read this post and do as I did, you will get an even better result. My secret? I copy people. But not like "Oh I'll give it a half-hearted try and see where it goes", like "I am going to do exactly what they did but work 2x as hard to catch up" type of copy. That's where most people fall short. So if you want to copy what already works and catch up, don't waste your time if you're going to be lazy For everyone else, here's who I copied and what I coped from them. They are smart, I'm just an engineer. If I were to prop myself up in any way for being smart, it would be that I was smart enough to copy the smart people. I copied: @Max Perzon and his success roadmap for my free community. Before that I did not have anything defined for them as to what success looks like. Now, they know exactly what to do and what's next. This really gives people the "early win" they are looking for. If you have a community and don't make it crystal clear what success looks like for them, they won't be around for long. @Patrice Moore and her 1. Copy 2. Work ethic. Most people overpromise to win the Skool Games and then blow it on delivery and end up back where they started. Others underpromise and don't win. Only the elite overpromise AND overdeliver. When you find them, don't let them get away. I not only "copy" her and her copy (lol) but also her drive to get the job done no matter what. @Calvin Hollywood and his community approach. He taught me what it looks like to provide true gamification inside my community and the data behind what to give and when. Before this I just had random gifts no one cared about, now I've leveled it up. How would I have known that if I didn't have someone to model it for me first. @Andrew Kirby and his approach to business. He may like to fly under the radar a little bit, but his approach to synthesizing finally put a definition behind my purpose in life. I strive to not just say, but actually live out an approach like his where serving people truly is the main driver and always will be.

🔔How I'm Going from $23k MRR -> $100k MRR (and you can too)
Anyone ever heard the phrase "Keep the main thing the main thing"? I have found it to be extremely relevant on Skool and I want to tell you how I'm using it to revamp my community in case you can use it too. You see, one of the best things about Skool is having everything in one place. No more switching from Facebook to Kajabi to Discord and back. And one of the main reasons people have joined my community is what comes with that. FOCUS The distraction of not knowing where to be for each thing has been removed. Now here's the kicker. Don't bring back the distraction in other ways. In my evaluation of my own community I found that I was, and here's how. Personally, I was putting too much emphasis on the leaderboards. Now the leaderboards are great and you guys have seen me share strategies on how to use them effectively, but the problem arrises if people shift their focus from the actual goal (whatever that is) into just being active for the sake of activity. Lots of people even do that in this community. Here's the observation I made that I'm quite sure would stand the test of time for any community on Skool. The people at the top of the leaderboard aren't even close to the most successful people in my group. In fact, I found it was the opposite. I was incentivizing activity to the point where it was significantly detracting from the goal. Top of the leaderboard + no money made = a complete failure on my part. SO, here's what I'm implementing to change this. It might be kinda controversial... I am removing the monthly leaderboard competitions. Although I would like to think my engagement results were very solid, I didn't create a community about wasting time on another online activity. My community is about making money, and if I'm pushing people to do something that's not that I am fundamentally going against the entire goal. My encouragement to you if you're reading this: re-evaluate your incentives. Are they leading everyone closer to their ultimate goal?
