Starting with AI Agent..where to start?
Hello, I am looking to start learning AI agents and want to build apps on top of it. I see there are so many implementations and frameworks out there, which makes it difficult to decide on which to choose. Can anyone guide on this? Which agentic framework is best so far in terms of usability and flexibility? P.S. Happy to connect with like-minded people to form a study group if interested.

@Danny Gerst @Rohit Turambekar said "build something for Cloud engineers to chat with technical documentation and execute automation tasks." RAG certainly sounds good to "chat" with documentation, but executing automation tasks may not be a RAG feature. I'm still lost with the terminology of Assistants, Agents, Tasks, Tools, Functions - terms used by different frameworks. My understanding is simply - beyond merely answering a query with an answer, we can make an AI application DO things for us - by calling a piece of code that is NOT in the LLM. This code could be written by the developer (is that what we call a function?), or a 3rd party API (is that what we call a tool?) Also, the decision to execute a certain function (based on the inferred intent) could be by the developer of the Agent, or by the autonomous Agent / LLM. Hope to get better clarity soon!

why not add all these github links into a github page itself?
AI driving your Shopping Assistant
Today I spoke with the founder of Upsy, a self declared AI-driven Shopping Assistant, and I wanted to share some insights with you: 1. E-Commerce sites do not want their shoppers to chat. They want conversion; 2. Chatting with converted shoppers is fine; they may want information about delivery or returns; 3. AI learns from shopping behaviour. This is different from what I have come to expect from Large Language Models, who have stopped learning and just infer; 4. Help, don't disturb: if you picture yourself in a brick and mortar store, you want to be left alone while you shop — until you don't :D Understanding this contradiction is crucial to breaking into the market.

As a regular ecom user, and an erstwhile ecom store developer, my thoughts would be 1) most of the times, I begin by searching - if my search results in products appearing at the top of the results, that means my key words are good, and that the ecom site search is working well. I dont need help - dont want to be disturbed. 2) if my search isnt yielding useful results, even after changing keywords 2-3 times, I may need a little help (which some search engines auto-suggest alternatives). 3) Having a friendly bot just a click away doesnt hurt - it is the friendly shopping assistant standing at the end of an aisle - make eye contact, and he/she would walk over to help. Let us also not forget that the shopping could happen in a small form factor mobile too! Agree that to the site owner, it is not about chatting, and more about conversion! To the shopper, it is about user experience, (and variety, quality, and price) - it is with UX that AI may be able to help.
