Starting with AI Agent..where to start?
Hello, I am looking to start learning AI agents and want to build apps on top of it. I see there are so many implementations and frameworks out there, which makes it difficult to decide on which to choose. Can anyone guide on this? Which agentic framework is best so far in terms of usability and flexibility? P.S. Happy to connect with like-minded people to form a study group if interested.

@Brandon Phillips Super advice. Thanks for it. So far, what I read through, your suggestions are spot on. I think I will follow that path. Also, curious to know about your project regarding AWS automation, Terraform generator etc.

@Krishna Kishore These terms can be used interchangeably sometimes, but here is a definition from ChatGPT which is more explainable. Assistants Technical Definition: AI Assistants are software applications that use natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning to perform tasks, provide services, or facilitate interactions with users through voice or text interfaces. Examples include Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa. Simpler Explanation: Assistants are like digital helpers that you can talk to or type messages to. They can understand your questions and perform various actions like setting reminders, playing music, or answering questions. Agents Technical Definition: An AI Agent is an autonomous entity that observes through sensors and acts upon an environment using actuators to achieve its goals. These goals are often defined by a set of rules, objectives, or a reward function. Simpler Explanation: Agents are software programs that can make decisions and take actions on their own to accomplish specific tasks. They can learn from their environment and improve over time. Tasks Technical Definition: In AI, Tasks refer to specific activities or problems that an AI system is designed to solve or perform. Tasks can range from simple, such as sorting emails, to complex, such as driving a car or diagnosing diseases. Simpler Explanation: Tasks are the specific jobs or problems that AI systems are asked to do, like recognizing faces in photos or translating languages. Tools Technical Definition: Tools in the context of AI are software or frameworks that provide functionalities to aid in the development, training, and deployment of AI models. Examples include TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn. Simpler Explanation: Tools are the software and frameworks that help developers build and use AI systems. They provide the necessary components and libraries to create and train AI models. Functions Technical Definition: Functions in AI are specific operations or procedures that an AI system performs. These are often part of the broader task and can include mathematical operations, data processing steps, or model inference processes.
Help with laptop
Hello everyone, I am Computer Science student looking for new laptop for data science. Any recommendation, is Apple Macbook Air worth it, or windows is better in your opinion? If you recommend windows, which laptop do you recommend exactly, I found some Lenovo Yoga laptops, but I more like Macbook design and ergonomy 😄

I would prefer a laptop with GPU. Very soon I think we might need to deploy and run LLMs locally, so having a powerful laptop will be essential. I don't have specific recommendation on model though, I have to search too.
