Hi friends! My name is Kit. While I've played TTRPGs with quite a few different groups, none of them lasted very long facing the scheduling boss and most of my experience is from years ago! I mostly play D&D (started with 3.5, played some 4, now on 5) and some Pathfinder. So while I feel like I have experience I also kind of feel like a novice? I've been writing fiction for much longer than I've been playing TTRPGs and from my first game I've been interested in the storytelling and world-building elements of designing my own campaign. My biggest hurdle is... I'm not good at being put on the spot! lol I've recently joined a "Ladies Night" table at our local game shop to get back into playing after YEARS and I feel like every time the DM turns to me I am a go full-blown deer-in-headlights. I'm hoping this is something that I'll get better at with practice. Right now I'm prepping a pre-made adventure to do as a duet with my partner to get him to try the game and a low-stakes opportunity for me to get my feet wet in the DM seat. My Game Master’s Handbook of Proactive Roleplaying book literally just got dropped on my doorstep so I am looking forward to reading that and learning from you all! 💜
