Account Suspended 10 Days After Opening It
Hi all, I realize this might be a bit of an off-topic, but I'm just wondering what course of action (if any) I can take right now. Today, my little shop was suspended. I already had approximately 50 digital designs listed on it. As you probably know, Etsy is brutal when it comes to communication, so I didn't get the email they were supposed to send with regard to the reason. After I made my first sale over the weekend, I proceeded to try to verify my account. I looked at my bank account all day yesterday to see if any amount had been deposited, yet none had. Today I worked on my shop as usual, and all of a sudden I see the red banner with the account suspension. Since no one bothered to tell me the reason, I can only presume: 1. A glitch from Etsy that suspends all new accounts that get their bank accounts verified - oddly enough, I was able to find the deposit and verify the bank account even with my shop being suspended. Should I have hope that it's going to be automatically reinstated in the future? 2. My bad - using mockup photos from Canva, although I made sure to use only the ones for Pro users to avoid infringing the 'don't use stock photos rule'. 3. I might have messed up by putting some of the items in the Clip Art category and selecting a few or all crafts (I was stupid enough to think that the item was made for those crafts, not that I used those crafts to design it). I tried contacting someone through the Help Center but all I could get in return was an automated response. Still no email with a reason for the suspension... Anyway, if this isn't too much of a ramble and it doesn't get deleted by the admin, has anyone gone through something like this, should I still have some hope? I was so excited about my little shop, especially after getting my first sale... UPDATE: I filed an appeal and provided as much information as possible and my account was reinstated in about two hours. I don't know if I can trust this to be permanent, but at least I'm feeling some relief for now. The email said that it was an error on their part, so I think it must've been the bank account verification that wasn't quick enough for them.

@Collette Byrne the issue was that I set up my shop name different than my LLC that my state tax ID was under so they were not able to verify it. I finally got it lines up and they were able to verify it.

@Collette Byrne in Texas we have to register for retail sales tax ID in order to collect sales tax and the ID is also used so we can by items for resale tax free since we charge tax when we sell it. That is the tax resellers ID that they had to verify.
Help with converting portraits/photos into watercolor or similar
I would like to convert animal portraits into watercolor. It's my understanding that we used to be able to use Prisma in Canva to do that, but I don't think it is offered in Canva any longer. Am I mistaken? Does anyone else have any suggestions on how to get the watercolor effect added to photos/portraits? I'd be happy with converting them into line drawings or something similar at this point.

I am interested to find a way to do this too. BeFunky sounds familiar, so I think I played with it once. I looked on YouTube and tested a few that were recommended, but did not find anything that would keep the coloring of the pet from the original photo, at least not consistently. I'd like to know if someone finds an option.

Newbie Tumbler Store Questions
Sizing for tumbler wraps. I am getting my business plan/organized to start selling tumbler wraps, I am going to start with the skinny wraps first. I have a photoshop action that can resize the images with the correct DPI, the question I have is, Do you all set your sizing based on pixels or inches when creating your files to sell? Also 2nd question, do your clients get upset when you don't offer the tappered version? I have been stalking Bailey's listings and it seems like she used to do both straight/tappered and stopped doing so more recently. LOL I guess I have 3 questions, jpg, png, pdf or a combination for file formats? Thank you all for taking your time to read this long post.

Hi @Linda Roehle 😊. Great questions. I’m in another course of Baileys and I remember something about the taper not being as requested so it seems Bailey dropped it and it didn’t impact her sales. As a person that makes sublimation tumblers, the straight design is what people make because they are easier to line up and fit in the most common tumbler presses. Also, when you buy a tapered tumbler, the angles can all be a little different so it’s a pain to make even a tapered design wrap correctly. For the file type, PNG is the most used. For the measurements, I see inches primarily. Those also vary slightly from tumbler to tumbler, and when I use one of Baileys design, I’d have to resize it slightly, but since the measurements she provides seems to be the sweet spot, that’s what I will use for the tumbler wraps that I will sell.
Share your feedback with Kittl!!
I'm sure most of you saw the update....🙄 GIF: How I feel... I urge you to share your feedback directly to them via the email, support or their YouTube channel!! Here are the changes: "Starting December 1st, we’re moving from a daily-renewing AI credit system to a monthly-renewing credit system. This shift is designed to better meet your creative needs and help you make the most of Kittl’s AI-powered tools. What’s Changing? - Free Users will continue with 20 one-time AI credits as before. - Pro Users will now receive 200 AI credits per month (previously 30 per day). - Expert Users will now receive 600 AI credits per month (previously 80 per day). Your credits will no longer expire daily, giving you the freedom to use them when it suits your workflow—whether you’re creating consistently or saving them up for bigger projects. These credits will not roll over month to month, but we’ve evaluated your feedback and usage, and we believe this approach is the fairest for our overall community. It allows us to maintain current pricing while giving designers who need more AI credits for projects the option to purchase additional credits." https://www.kittl.com/article/kittl-new-monthly-ai-credit-system

@Cristina V I use Canva a lot but the one thing I like on Kittl that I wish Canva could do it better text manipulation, like Kittl’s distort etc.

@Hoa Wong I use Inkscape, and Affinity Designer. Just easy to have those manipulations in a tool like Canva where you also have elements you can quickly find vs downloading them from another source. Quick and easy is the goal.
