Itโ€™s โ€œHUMP DAYโ€!!!
Beyond the rather off-putting nickname it has, is there a more negative way to view your week than referring to Wednesday as โ€œHump Dayโ€???? While the term โ€œHump Dayโ€ may seem playful, it carries a rather negative connotation. It suggests that the week is a struggle to get through, with the sole focus on surviving until the weekend. This perspective can create a sense of burden during the first half of the week. Instead of viewing Wednesday as a hurdle to overcome, itโ€™s more uplifting to approach each day with purpose and balance. Every day, from Monday to Sunday (yes to Sunday, not to Friday) presents opportunities for productivity, personal growth, and joy. By shifting our mindset from simply โ€œgetting over the humpโ€ to fully embracing each moment, we can cultivate a more positive and fulfilling week.

@Dr. Dustin Marsh For me the interesting question is how our upbringing and formation in schools (which were developed for industrial era needs of upper classes aka how to produce slaves) lead to the fact that most people don't even question it. Only about 5% of the population has an enterpanual spirit...

@Dr. Dustin Marsh Probably. I think in lower schools, which is aligned with psychological and social development, the "final" or "teacher is right" or "parent is right" gives the acceptance of permanency. There is a reason why churches like to get kids in and feed as much of the beliefs as possible. The beliefs stick. Only as we get to our teens and twenties are we more wired to question and rebel. Become independent and free. The free access to multiple sources of information via games and the Internet makes controlling the minds of younger people increasingly difficult. I find that my children question a lot more than my cousins did 15 years ago or even I did 30 some years ago. I am so happy that my kids question more (although on some days I wish they did not hehehe IYKYN) I like to lead by example. I think that's the only way for transformation of others. They need to choose to follow.

Wisdom from the Sacred Pools ~ the power of flow
Not far from the remote town of Hana, on the lush eastern coast of Maui, lies a hidden gem known as the 7 Sacred Pools. Itโ€™s a place of incredible beauty, where waterfalls cascade from one pool to the next, each feeding into the other in a continuous, natural flow. I remember standing there, watching the water move effortlessly from one pool to the next, completely in sync with the landscape. The water didnโ€™t struggle or hesitate, it simply followed the path laid out for it, carving its way with time and persistence. It was in that moment that I saw a powerful truth: Success, like the flow of water, is about finding your natural path and moving with it. In the early days of my business, I often tried to force things to happen. Iโ€™d push against obstacles, thinking that sheer willpower could overcome any challenge. But watching the water flow through the Sacred Pools, I realized that sometimes, the most effective way forward is not to force a path, but to find the one thatโ€™s already there. I recalled a conversation with Ram Dass during one of our visits to the Temple of Peace. We talked about the importance of flow in life, how the greatest achievements often come not from force, but from aligning ourselves with the natural currents of our environment. This lesson transformed how I approached my work. Instead of battling against the current, I began to focus on finding where the flow was strongest and directing my energy there. Itโ€™s this philosophy that guides the way I teach high-ticket sales today. In our Skool community, we explore how to identify and align with the natural flow of opportunities. Whether itโ€™s understanding the right market, connecting with the right clients, or crafting an offer that resonates deeply, the key is to move with the flow, not against it. Yet, I know how difficult it can be to embrace this approach. Thereโ€™s often a fear that if youโ€™re not pushing hard, youโ€™re not making progress. The belief that success requires constant struggle is deeply ingrained in many of us.
