Challenge to $1000 💰
I wanted to share a personal project I’ve started. I’ve been 3D printing for a while and have made some sales along the way. Recently, I decided to challenge myself to see how quickly I can make $1,000 while balancing college and work. Here’s what I’ve learned so far: • Selling in person seems easier than online, especially if you know local businesses that could use 3D-printed items or sell them on your behalf. • Focusing on a specific niche makes a big difference. Has anyone else tried selling their 3D prints in person, and if so, what has your experience been?

@Shawn Parker online sales have been good. The event was a bust. Ironically the 3D printed case is the only thing we sold …1 unit 😅

@Shawn Parker we largely sell to men. It was an all female event at church where most of the vendors were selling women’s fashion products. So the lesson is know the audience and vendors before committing to an event.
Bambulab Support Feedback
Have you ever opened a ticket with Bambulab for printer support? I finally had to. Here's my experience. They are slow to respond. They will tell you to do all the basic troubleshooting steps just like the cable company. Then, if it's a legitimate issue, THEY WILL ACTUALLY HELP YOU! I had been struggling with the 3D printed lid for our rosary case, but only on the P1P. printed fine on the A1 mini. They ran test prints, confirmed they were getting the same undesirable print finish on the top layer so they modified the print settings and sent me a modified 3mf file that I'm testing right now. It took a few weeks, but if you provide very specific details of the issue, the steps you've taken to rule out user error, at least this was my experience, they are knowledgable and helpful. I got the impression that they expect their printers to work well, and if they aren't printing well they are willing to put in the effort to help you get good quality prints.

Q4 is almost here... 📆 This is the season where people are spending the most amount of time shopping, buying, and spending 🤑 How are you prepping your 3D Print shop to make the most amount of cash possible 🤔

We launch our new rosary case Thursday. 100 units will be available. We have a waitlist of over 200 already. If they sell out we'll be buying a second printer to increase our daily print capacity. I have 2 other designs in the pipeline as well...all pending the success of the initial launch 😅
Flow rate and K factor
I’m using the P1P with no AMS. I started experiencing print quality issues. I calibrated it. Worked fine again. Then I think when we changed the spool, we started having issues again. Does anyone know if the k value gets reset after a filament swap? I’m going crazy over this. I can’t figure out how to get back to the quality I had on day 1. Only had the thing 2 months.

@Brandon Santana it’s only a guess right now because I can’t get a good print now. I had 3 failed attempts yesterday. Ran another one last night. I’ll find out this morning when I get to the office if it worked.
