Cravings!
Ugh, cravings. Am I right? I have never been shy around sweet and salty snacks, especially growing up in my grandmas house. BUT my pmdd makes ignoring or replacing those cravings so hard. I have had some issues the last couple of years with overindulging myself on sweet and salty snacks, but I am finally at a place where it’s getting to be unhealthy. I want to turn this car around, quick! Any advice or similar stories?

@Ellie Pemberton I used to struggle with this SOOOO BAD. I never thought it could change. Literally thought it was part of my personality. LOLing so hard now that I understand glucose. Curbing cravings is not about willpower! Luckily. Balancing your macronutrients and boosting your micronutrient balance will eliminate cravings without you needing to try harder. I teach you how to do this step by step in PMDD Rehab. I also have many posts on PMDD and cravings/blood sugar balance! 🫶🏻

@Ellie Pemberton Love to see you learning and feeling relieved about the willpower bit. It's also cool to know that because menstruation is such a big vascular event, and because of the metabolic changes that happen in the luteal phase including (glucose regulation being less stable) we actually need to eat around 200-300 more calories per day. So some of the cravings are a natural need for more nutrients! The female body is PRETTTY Cool!
APP vs Desktop Checkin
Last night one of you said in the Q+A that you could not see these resources in the classroom via the APP. Will you check your app and your desktop and let me know if you can access these?

@Emily Poulin I've been troubleshooting this and all I can think is that it has to be a problem with your phone or the app on your end as others can see everything. Maybe reach out to SKOOL? I am at a loss as there is nothing else I can do. SOOO sorry about this.

@Kate Crawford I would be cautious with H1, HT blockers or antihistamines in general as they are mucolytics which impact all mucus lined organs including the digesting organs. Over time these break down the mucus barrier which is protective and it can lead to GI distress. We can chat more about this topic in our community calls or in your 1:1 session!

@Elizabeth Cortez H1,H2 blockers and antihistamines can be useful in the short term to decipher how much of a histamine response in contributing to your symptoms. Be cautions as using this long term as these products are mucolytics which mpact all mucus lined organs including the digesting organs. Over time these break down the mucus barrier which is protective and it can lead to GI distress. This is also a no go for anyone trying to as mucolytics impact cervical fluid quality and production. We can chat more about this topic in our community calls.
Hormone imbalance
I saw that research says about 80% of women suffer from hormone imbalance at least once in their lifetime. Are there tests we can do to see if we have a true hormone imbalance?

@Lauren Ryba I recommend a saliva or urine panel for hormone testing. I offer the Dutch Plus test. Happy to chat with you about this test if you're interested in running it!
