Paste the convo into ChatGPT and ask it to give you some suggestions for a “witty” response. Give it context and tell it to sound like you. Don’t copy and paste what it gives you, just use it for ideas and you should be able to come up with a decent response. Make sure it sounds like you though. At the end of the day, if he’s set on not wanting a copywriter, he’s not gonna want one so don’t force it. Just be chill
