Sutton Stage 1 Class anyone?
Who would be interested in their child joining a one-off English class for Stage 1 Sutton Schools? It would be £10 and held on 1st August, 7:30pm. I am in talks to arrange this along with the English expert and founder of Wonderlearn Tuition, Charlotte Watson if there is enough interest. Could you let me know if this is of interest to you in the comment section below 👇 👇👇👇👇 Pop down any questions or requests such as what you would like the session to cover so Charlotte and I can answer.

Creative Writing CHALLENGE postponed to beginning of July 🥲
Hey, all those who signed up for our 5-day Creative writing challenge and all of you on the OS program- we are having to postpone the Creative Writing challenge to the beginning of July. I am so sorry for this. Something challenging has come up and I really need your prayers and support to sort it out. 🙏 @Mandy Broomhead will be taking the sessions along with me and it will be grand and transformational for your children 😻 The only thing is it is not starting this Monday but it is going to be just as EPIC, if not MORE!! Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience dear parents. Please bear with us as we sort out things. 😬 I will be emailing all those who signed up with the details soon. 🔺❤️

Hi Sabah!! I am sure the challenge which has come in your way must be a difficult one as I know your level of dedication and if you have postponed it then it’s definitely an urgent issue which needs to be dealt first. My prayers and best wishes are with you. Hope you overcome this challenge with flying colours. Looking forward to the creative writing challenge. Thanks for your continuous support. Take care 😘
So what are you doing this weekend?
If there is one thing you need to do this weekend along with relaxing, entertaining or going out, let it be one of the following challenges. See, it is not work, just a challenge! 🥳 👑 🚄A vocab challenge 🚄A comprehension challenge 🚄A book club meeting It takes only 2 people to do all or any of the above. If you are more than 2, even better! Just go to the relevant courses and get the docs. This is where you will find the documents and recordings (recordings only if you need some ideas, I am thinking you won't because you lot are smart and the docs will be enough!) 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 Vocab Challenge Comprehension Challenge Book Club and some extra help with the R.E.A.D.S strategy If you don't have access to these documents, it is because it is for our OS course parents. 🔺❤️ But don't fret 💯, you can get these documents for a very reasonable bargain.🥳 If you are on my email list, the email with the details went out yesterday. If you are not and are thinking you may want to get on it, message me.🙏

@Sabah Hadi We have completed week 1 challenge. Kids are loving it. Hopefully once we complete the whole challenge they feel more confident in terms of doing comprehension and the questions related to it.

Yes please!! Would love to be a part of this challenge 👍
Have you felt scared?
I remember the day clearly when I went to read to my son’s class. The school sent a letter home asking for parents to come and read a book to their children’s class. I was barely two years in the UK, nervous and not sure of myself. But I wrote back saying that yes, I was interested. The date and time were confirmed and I went in and read the book to a class full of bright-eyed youngsters sitting cross-legged on the floor. The teacher was lovely. She told me that I was the only parent who had responded to the letter. Well, my heart was beating louder than a drum and right into my ears. I didn't feel triumphant. I felt sick with worry. My palms were both cold and sweaty but once I had finished reading, I looked up at the children’s faces, my son among them and saw them smiling. When I walked back home, I felt a huge satisfaction and triumph. At the outset, let me tell you this. I was scared out of my mind. I was so anxious that I wanted to turn back and make an excuse later. But I marched on. I went and did it anyway. Read a book to a class full of strangers (I blocked my son to feel a little less nervous!). And strangely, I felt happy afterwards. I couldn’t quite figure out which feeling was stronger, and I didn’t care. If the tests scare you, consider what is there to lose if you try. Imagine how will feel once you come to the end of it, knowing that you tried. That you gave your best effort. Your child will learn from that. Never underestimate that. ''Succeed or Learn'', I have borrowed this from an Imposter Syndrome session I attended last week. And I thought it fits here perfectly. You win both ways.

This was much needed post. In the morning, when I woke up, I was so scared thinking whether we’ll go through this journey smoothly or not. This anxiety or fear, which I don’t want to show to my kids, scares me every now and then. But as you mentioned ‘Succeed or Learn’, I think that should be the motto. Thanks Sabah for keep checking on us continuously 😍
