TE Tuner analysis
I love the TE Tuner app, but usually I just use it on the sound setting. I have clicked on the analysis setting and I have no idea what I’m looking at! I have heard other people talking about it and I would love to be able to use this resource- could that be a topic for the Wednesday Masterclass?

@Erin Brophey the discussion this morning was great. The instant visual feedback on the app when doing things like soft entries and dynamic changes is very helpful
Q & A cancelled this week.
Hello All! With my apologies- I’m having dental surgery on our usual day. I’m not sure when I will be able to play my oboe. I’ll take the week to heal and see you all next week! Please enjoy all of the recordings of past masterclasses of you are looking for inspiration. They are located in the classroom section of this platform. Play the Joy and Ease, eRin

I hope everything today has gone well and that you are not too sore!
Q & A Moved to Thursday this week.
Hello Oboe Schoolers! I’ve got a pesky sore tooth——my dentist can see me today. I’m moving the masterclass to accommodate the appointment. I’m sorry for the last minute change. I’ll hope to see you tomorrow! 😘 eRin

I hope it’s an easy fix.
Reed sorting
Reed sorting day. Do you all have such a day once in a while? Wich ones are good, wich ones can go and then I sort them in pitch, sound and flexibility. ( is it normal in other countries to play pitch 442 in wind orchestras and 440 or lower in symphonie and baroque?)

@Carol Lowne I hate letting reeds go too! I give them one last chance in my “old reed” box, but then my tolerance to “misbehaviour” is low and I break them and save the staple. Your 2 for 1 replacement is a good idea.

This was a wonderful session. Thanks to @Dawn Lomax @Malcolm Thornley @Rhonda Smith for the great questions! Special thanks to @Magda Prins-Nip for playing some beautiful Bach for us!
