Wonderful Session! Many thanks to @Magda Prins-Nip for her wonderful playing of Bach and great questions. Lovely to meet @Dorothy Rubinoff and hear about her oboe journey. Many thanks to @Natalie Fulwider for asking her questions about colour in oboe playing. ( one of my fave topics.) Sending best wishes to @Christi Allison that her wrist continues to heal. Kudos to @Valerie Rollheiser for being open to me asking pointed questions. :)

Q & A with Erin Brophey November 6th
We covered so many topics in this Q & A! It was a real whirlwind. Thanks to @Deborah Racklyeft and @Lorrie Smith for sharing their experiences of having wonderful (and scary) performance opportunities. @Magda Prins-Nip had some wonderful questions about achieving soft attacks. We talked about purchasing oboes and if we should oil the bore. @Malcolm Thornley brought up the notion of blowing out an instrument. That was a whole bunny trail........gratitude to everyone.

Hello All! With my apologies- I’m having dental surgery on our usual day. I’m not sure when I will be able to play my oboe. I’ll take the week to heal and see you all next week! Please enjoy all of the recordings of past masterclasses of you are looking for inspiration. They are located in the classroom section of this platform. Play the Joy and Ease, eRin
