Back after a break. What's going on? :)
I'm returning here after almost a year of being too busy and demotivated to become better at this. My time and motivation has now returned and I'm ready to learn! I'm trying to be my own composer and producer and I have a lot to learn. Hoping this is the place for me to continue that journey. So what has changed here since February? What's going on? :)

@Jason Tufts I think there are a tiny bit out front but honestly, it’s kind of a artistic choice. The O’s in the beginning are beautiful and perfect. So I just listened to it on my phone so I don’t know how accurate I’m getting it. I would try stepping them down by a DB each time and find the exact sweet spot that you like. I’m assuming they’re fully processed and compressed, etc. etc. if they are not, you must do that first. All the best.
Clouds
I’d love to know how everyone is setting up their clouds in their studios. Please share.

Where can I hear some TRE members music?
I’d love to hear songs from the OG’s here. The VIPs tend to keep to themselves. Any success stories from TRE students making a career in music?

@Caleb Loveless where can I post to the Spotify channel?
Knowledge Vs Tools
The knowledge is the power not the plugin. The plugin is just another tool in the box with a GUI and knobs and buttons. It knows nothing. It's up to the person using it to make it do what it does in a way that's pleasing to the ear and results in something that is cohesive with the rest of the tracks in the mix. Think about it this way. A hammer is a tool in the box. All it does is sit there until called upon for a specific task. The master craftsman needs to fasten one piece of wood to another. He chooses to use the hammer and some nails. He then places the nail carefully to ensure proper alignment so that maximum hold will happen between the two boards. Then starts with light taps to get it started and then drives the nail home. Does the hammer do the work? The answer is yes but not without the guidance and perfect aim of the master craftsman swinging it. When he's done, the two boards become one and the task is finished. The moral of this story is that without the knowledge of how the hammer works, the hammer just sits in the box being useless weight. Well I hope I've got my point across. What are your thoughts on this? Hope this helps. 🤠

Knowing what you’re doing and why you’re doing it then the tool is number three
